The first time I use the thermometer it did great. Then, my 6 year old got it and changed it to Celsius. After reading others reviews I learned how to change it back to Fahrenheit. Now it works wonderful. Thank you so much.
1. Lo reading doesn't reflect batterlife. It means low temp because it's not in an ear. 2 Celsius to Fahrenheit is really just holding down for 5 seconds. On the right side of the screen, in VERY tiny letters the F/C option appears. Then release the button and it switches. Don't wait for something large to appear on screen you will be frustrated 3. Not confident about accuracy. The reading changes on multiple readings in succession. The changes aren't large but with a 102 fever you want accuracy. 4. Smartphones are making people electronic dumb. It's not intuitive. Take your time, familiarize yourself with it before you actually need it and you will figure it out. 5. Manufacturer: how about an actual response that explains the difficulty and not your stupid stock response? You might get better ratings if people knew how to use the product.
The thermometer is easy to use, however like many have shared, the device only works after one use and the batter life is poor. I attempted to return it to Babies R us but was told I couldn't because it was beyond the 90 day mark and I had to contact the manufacturer. I have since made contact with the manufacturer, I am hoping for a positive response.
Despite attempts to change back to Fahrenheit, using the "hold down the button" approach, it only shows Celsius now. Why is this even an option? Nobody takes temperature in the USA in Celsius. Make another product for weird countries the use Celsius.
Same as every person on here it seems. I have returned this thermometer three times because after every first use it doesn't work again. And I refuse to change a battery every second time I use a thermometer, especially when it's a $10 battery as well.
Battery died right after first use and I can't switch out of celsius. I did what the responsed to all the reviews say to do... Doesn't work. This wasn't a cheap thermometer for this.
I decided to by this thermometer because I thought it will help me to check my baby temperature easier than the one we put under baby's arms. But when and stated to use it while my baby got fever, few hours later it ran out of battery. Then I had to go to the store for exchange. A week later it's happen again, ran out of battery then I decided to buy the new battery and change it by myself and it work for awhile then stop working again. So I exchange with the new one again n the same thing battery low after used for few weeks. And this time I exchange it and I report the problem to the store and ask them to replace the new battery right away but unfortunately the store don't have the spare battery. So they could not do it. I think it is good to use to check my baby temperature but I don't know what's wrong with product or battery? And I would recommend it if the factory can fix this problem for me.
My mother in law bought me this one instead of a forehead scanner, which I love. We used them in our salon during the pandemic. This thermometer maybe worked the first time I used. I keep trying. I have done troubleshooting. When your two young kids are running a fever, and it's clear they are, I reads like they have no fever. Then I took both of my kids to the dr that day, and both had fevers. It's not easy to use on a toddler. This is not the one!
After the installed battery dies you might as well throw the whole thing away. After trying over half a dozen new CR3032 battery's the device refuses to turn back on.
I have to look online for the actual temperature because it only shows Celsius. I've tried a number of times to figure out how to change it back, but no luck. When your child is sick, you want a reliable thermometer! I'm sure they will answer with their standard "one year warranty" response which is generic and rude when they sell a defective product and don't want to admit it!
