Great thickness. Nice and firm for safety but not like a cardboard feel like some crib/toddler mattresses I've felt. Went perfect with Delta Children Gateway 4 in 1 Convertible Crib. Also from Walmart online. Crib dimensions Length 55" Width 30" Height 40".
Really great mattress! For just right in the crib I had for my NB, was a little iffy about it after reading some reviews but once I got it and had it in and used it one time it was great for my baby definitely would recommend!
It has been 11 years since I last had a child of crib age. Needless to say, there is a lot that has changed since then...especially mattresses! I did a TON of research trying to find the perfect mattress for my little one, without spending a fortune. I researched almost every mattress sold at BRU, Target, Walmart, etc. After measuring the crib several times & reading countless reviews, I decided to go with this one. The size sounded right, & I really liked the fact that it could grow with my little one & be used in his toddler bed (his crib converts). I received the mattress a couple of days before the earliest estimated arrival date. While it is not significant, I can tell a difference b/w the Infant side & the Toddler side. Some of the mattresses I looked at in stores said 'very firm', but in fact were way too soft to be safe for an infant. This mattress however, truly is a firm mattress! It fits perfectly into my son's crib, with no gaps, & is nice & firm! I feel very safe with him on this mattress, & he sleeps wonderfully on it, so it must be comfortable too! I would definitely recommend this product!!!
I bought this mattress because after purchasing my Delta crib, there were some reviews that said a "regular size crib mattress" doesn't fit correctly. They said this was the only mattress that the dimensions were just right so little fingers couldn't fit between the mattress and the rails. Boy were they right! It is a VERY snug fit! No worries about my kid getting between there! The issue I don't like about that is that while the mattress is in its highest position for a newborn, the mesh, breathable bumper is very difficult to get in between the mattress and the crib rails. Even just putting a sheet on it, I have to pull the mattress out of the crib and once I get it back in, I have to go along the edges and pull the sheet down on the sides to get it smooth. It's annoying. It works and I'm sure it will keep my baby comfortable and safe, but if you're putting this on a Delta crib where it's as snug as mine, just know this going into it.
My husband and I purchased this mattress a week ago and received it from site to store slightly open at the top but no damage after having so many problems with the mattress under this one for about a month. The other mattress either didn't arrive at site to store or arrived at our home opened and damaged. Since their was no damage to this model we elected to accept it plus walmart gave us a $10 off along with a 20% discount due to all the previous problems. It fits snug in our new Graco Mason 4 in one covertable crib. It also has two sides one for infant and other side for toddler mattress. Both feel comfortable. Let's just hope our baby girl loves it when she arrives April 2014.
came in a plastic bag? no other protection. concerned about the lack of protection while shipping the mattress. The "casing" that held the mattress came ripped, exposing the mattress. No stains like I've seen in other reviews but they should definitely put it in a box one for more safety and two anyone and everyone can see what the package is and just scoop it up off the porch if they deem it good enough... lightweight, haven't tried it with our crib yet but the measurements match it. hoping that it is safe enough and comfortable enough for my child when it comes time to use it..
My son has been sleeping a lot better since we switched his old mattress with this one a couple weeks ago. I had noticed on his previous mattress he was tossing and turning a lot in the night and for some reason I just knew his mattress was not comfortable. It was older and not very good quality in the first place so I decided to buy this one as a replacement. It has made a big difference for him, thank you...which has made a big difference for me, THANK YOU! He now is sleeping longer than me every morning and I have to wake him up. A whole let better than before when he would get up at sunrise every morning wailing! (no thank you...).
I feel like it's too stiff for the toddler side. I bought for my one year old and in my opinion it's very hard. It showed up in a plastic bag that had a rip in it also so it was dirty when I received it.
This mattress isn't the correct size. Bought it to go with the graco crib and I couldn't even stuff it into the crib. It's about 2inches too big in both the length and the width. Tried another mattress and it fit perfectly so it's not the graco crib that is wrong. Disappointed. But thankfully we could return it.
I wish I kept the wrap, I'd return in a heart beat. only a month use for 2.9 years toddler.
