I like the rubber squeeze tabs on these. It makes it easier for adults to open vs the ones with an opening to grab the door knob. Keeps my 2 year old inside and my older child can open.
My little guy can open doors now, and we struggled finding knob covers that fit all our door knobs. The ones sold in stores don't close, and others I bought online work on a few of our doors, but not all. These fit every door, and the rubber makes them sooooooo much easier to open. I HATED sticking my fingers in the little holes of the other knob covers because it hurt my fingers, and I never got a good grip. Order these. You won't regret it.
Rubber makes it easy for adults to open and harder for kids.
Easy to install and remove when needed. These are better than the kind with hokes in the side. Harder for children to open the doors.
Does not fit all of my doors 3 out of 4, not much difference between them. but did the job on most that's until my kiddo figured out that if he uses both hands and practically hangs from them they will pop off.
Not as nice feeling (it's a texture grip thing) in my hand as the Safety 1st similar style covers but do the job all the same. Do know if you have an odd door knob (it's a wider squat kneck to the door knob than most knobs) that the 2 piece knob covers often don't work with; these (or the safety 1st brand) jointed style covers will work (in at least the 3 knobs I've tried them on that the other style didn't work). Hope this helps someone out! My 2 year old escaped to the garage and outside before we figured out this style of cover was the answer. Be safe!
It really works! It makes the handle too big for children to get their hand around, u have to pinch together the handle to twist the door knob. Only downside is that it makes it just a tiny bit of an inconvenience to try and get to the lock because the cover extends past it.
