Ham was delivered on time and tasted pretty good! I followed the package directions for heating and serving as I am not a pro cook. Sam's choice ham is very good quality. Added a picture just for show and tell purposes. Enjoy!
I was surprised at how much smaller it was than I had anticipated, but it did say between 2lbs./4 lbs. The ham was spiral, pre-sliced and cooked, and the brown sugar packet was more than enough. It did not take long to heat up and it comes with a peel off instructions. there was almost no fat and most of it was lean meat. Not dry. It was juicy. I fed several family members and two friends. Three slices was more than enough of a serving. I made a sauce to go with it. It was delicious. I plan on ordering another one.
Spiral cut so shallow it had to be completely re-cut. Easter dinner 2024. Cooking instructions at one step tell you to " fan out the slices" and apply the glaze mix, but I found the spiral cut was so shallow I couldn't fan anything. The Sam's website defines what to expect from a spiral cut ham and this isn't it. See attached pic and screenshot. Cut was about a quarter of the way through and stopped way before it should have. Wasn't a bad ham except for the way it was cut.
I rarely buy ham. I expect expect a little fat but this ham was COMPLETELY FAT. There was very little edible meat on it. I got 2 1/2 lbs of fat and 1/2 lb of ham.
DON'T I REPEAT DON'T BUY THIS!! The workers who work at this location will give you a small piece I just received my groceries and I noticed the ham was small enough to feed only 2 people!!!! Let alone maybe 1 person I should have went with a better ham this is not even good enough to purchase. I should have believed the reviews…
I was under the impression I was buying a whole ham that would feed 7 people tonight and maybe got 1/2 of one. (Ground beef is for reference on how ridiculously small this ham is)
Today I ordered a ham 2.0-4.8 lbs for $21.51 and what was brought to me was a little tiny so called 1.33lb ham. THATS NOT GOING TO FEED MY FAMILY! If there was an issue of possibly being out of the size or brand I wanted WHY didn't I get the usual txt of either changing brand, size ect? Instead of someone just thinking to themselves oh I'll just get this one they won't notice! Now I have to go and buy more! My entire order was thanksgiving food! Now I look and the same ham for the same weight I WANTED is 14.43 and I placed my order late last night.
That this ham is smaller than my hand or my tv remote control! The news media reported that the groceries would be cheaper for thanksgiving this year. Well, Walmart didn't get the memo. $15 and some chain for this two and a half sandwich ham!!!
Not worth the money, bought it said approximation of price would be 13.88. when arrived price was 28.90. It's the cap so gets smaller and might serve 4 with so left overs with about slices each. Over priced double what they said and it's not worth it
Every time I order a ham, each and every time I receive the smallest one possible. I have a family to feed and I am not sure what 11.24 dollars worth of ham is going to do. That is about two people, three if you skimp. No one wants just one, small, slice of ham! O.o The slices aren't even as big as my hand. The ham is fine. Can't complain about the flavor. It is the size that they send. There needs to be a way to say how many pounds you want, or a rough scale of amount. Not just quantity. Selecting 1 for amount does not work in this situation. I used a drink can for size reference. The shopper should, at least, call to ask about the amount/size we would like with the supplied phone number.
