I love how crisp and clear plus how smooth the picture just flows naturally together the colors are super rich and stunningly pleasing. 10 out of 10 all the way across the board for me great job Samsung
Had this TV new since 2021. My first Samsung TV. Since it's one of Samsung's budget tv's you can't expect flagship like features. But it dose the job.
Its a very nice smart tv and the screen appears to be larger than 43". Every year they seem to add new features to smart tvs and they didnt slack with this model. HOWEVER, the remote is VERY SMALL, and Im still trying to find some of the old features that I really liked. They also appeared to do away with the av cable connections that some of the older gaming systems use to connect to the tv and I'm kind of disappointed about that since I still have and use a Wii pretty regularly. I also cant get my Xbox to connect on this television but that might be an Xbox problem. Other than those two things im happy for the most part.
Its pretty decent entre 4K TV. Its still a bit on the expensive side but its still better than some of the cheaper competition. I also bought a TCL S546 50" to compare side by side and even tho they both had their pros and cons I preferred and so did my father the image of the AU8000 better so we decided to keep it and return the TCL S546. Image quality on this TV is clear, vivid but doesn't get very bright. This TV should honestly be $50 less but overall 4/5 Next Upgrade in a couple of years will be one of those higher end models! Problem is mine came with a dead spot on the screen so I am going to return it and order the same model again because its really good TV. I attached a picture of the dead spot below. Thanks
I bought about 6 months and is working great beautiful colors and deep blacks, and plenty of apps and free channels from Samsung and very happy with this tv set
Nice picture, but the user interface is miserable. I'm trying to assist my 82 year old mother in using it and it is a very frustrating experience. I'm middle-aged and able to operate a smart phone, tablet and computers, but struggle with looking for information for this TV. It is a complex device when the e-manual is over 140 pages! The leaflet that came in the box doesn't even scratch the surface. Please make your devices and manuals more user friendly. This is targeted to young people who have grown up surrounded by digital devices, but keep in mind that a large number of consumers do not fit into this category. One cannot fully appreciate all the features of the TV if one doesn't know how to access them.
Liked : weight and compact slimness of the tv. Disliked: color was shocking. Red was very overbearing

Barely made it past the first year just enough to be out of warranty. Backlight has gone out on one side and with the size of this 85' it's almost impossible to move around let alone replace the backlight. Will be looking for a more reliable brand even it it's twice the cost rather than having to replace a Samsung yearly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our TV in December 2020. It worked great, the built in apps, voice remote and Samsung TV plus was fantastic. We've had intermittent struggles keeping it connected to the SmartThings App. In June 2022, we noticed lines at the bottom of the screen. We ran a video test, refresh, self diagnostic, power down and recommended troubleshooting tools. Nothing worked. The issue became progressively worse until by August the screen wouldn't display a picture at all. When we turn it on, it's black with a slight light (maybe the backlight is on?). The features were great, but shouldn't a TV last longer than 1.5 years?
