Samsung - 860 QVO 2TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the 860QVO on our home server and it made it significantly faster. The computer boots in only a few seconds, letting us perform maintenance with less downtime. The larger disk allowed us to also use it as a media cache. We copy the shows and movies we are currently watching from our HDD RAID to the SSD so when we want to watch them, and now they stream so much faster. This SSD is compatible with Samsung Magician, which makes it really easy to manage. It puts tools like disk health check and optimization in the same location, so you don't have to go searching for similar features scattered throughout the OS. It also has some neat things that don't come standard with most operating systems, like performance measuring tools and secure data erasure.

Samsung makes the greatest products and I have no worries when I backup all my data on this. This gave me a lot of confidence and helped me to save other things that I would normally not save. Yes while seeing how much the premium has been for in this type of investment for an SSD, I didn't know that there would be one that would be more affordable. Along comes the Samsung QVO. This drive will provide 80% of what you would have if you were to invest in the higher end Samsung drives. It uses a different type of memory chip and is a little bit slower. Other than that it seems the only other difference would be the warranty. Yes it is slower but in every day usage of the SSD it would be hard to notice a difference unless you try to measure the speeds with a benchmark. It uses a different chip which longevity wise would not last as long but according to the tests, it would be at least ten years of using before one would hit the usage that would affect the life of the SSD. The price is what makes the difference. For the price paid for this drive it is a good value for the money! Samsung reliability at a price that would outlast and be faster than drives in the same price segment. I would recommend this line of SSD any day to anyone needing a SSD!

I was able to get it set up and done within minutes. Now I have blazing fast speed again on laptop. I won't have to worry about running out of storage space for quite some time. This 1tb SSD memory device it's a very light weight and good quality. Easy to carry as portable hard drive. I bought cheap connecter for this 1tb drive. I used as portable Hard drive. Easy to connect. Just plug and use. No need to install any drivers on computer. Very fast transfer file to this drive. I stored all my project files and movies. Reasonable price.
