This radio has great reception at my home where other radios did not. With the many features, it takes some time to set up and learn to operate. (Do not discard the instructions.) However, it is worth the effort. I especially like presetting the alarm for weekdays and off for weekends. I am very pleased with this product.
Nice appearance, preset radio stations are a great convenience and next to impossible to find in a clock radio. Happy with purchase.
I was looking for an alarm clock with a good am radio, and this is a good device. I wanted to be able to program radio stations, and hit the button for which station I want. It's not too hard to set up, I was a little worried, but it's not too bad, definately need to read instructions to program. The time display is a little hard to read in the middle of the night, and that about my only complaint. I liked the automatic time setting, just make sure you have it on the right zone (bottom of device) before you plug in.
This one has 2 alarms and you can set them to go off on certain days of the week and to different radio stations that you pre-set! Nice feature. LED view is not very good unless you are looking right at the clock face - can't see it from an angle. Can light the face or not. Easy to use. Nice sound. Looks good. Definitely recommend it.
Although the design of the clock radio is sleek and has a nice sound, the LCD display is very difficult to see unless you are eye level. In addition, the automatic clock does not pick up in our bedroom. I have moved the clock to a variety of places and have had no success. I really don't want to have to work that hard to engage the automatic clock and doubt that many other consumers would either. This was not worth the money that we paid.
I wish the light on the dial were different color and could be dimmed or brightened. If the digital figures were a different (contrasting) color that would improve readability. Reading the dial has to be almost straight on to see accurately.
Maybe I'm a moron but I had a lot of problems setting the alarm(s) to go off with the radio instead of just the alarm buzzer. At least six steps are required and three steps are needed to disable the alarm. If you just need to set the alarm(s) just once and leave it alone than this won't be a problem. Also, the user "manual" is not very well written. Again, this may be just me. Unfortunately, I had to return the radio.
Terrible visibility of dial. Complicated to set up. Took more than 20 hours to locate signal for setting proper time. Save your money
I should have read the description of the product more thoroughly before I ordered it. I would have never purchased a clock radio that did not include a battery backup. Upon receipt and inspection I returned the product to Walmart immediately so cannot really evaluate it's performance. The real appeal of this clock was the atomic feature, eliminating the need to change it for daylight savings time, etc. Given all the other features and cost of this item, I was very surprised that it did not include a battery backup to assure the possibility of lack of alarm. The return was handled in a quick, professional manner.
Based on so many good Reviews from others who own and have used this item for years, I was excited to find an accurate clock radio that would allow me to turn the display off at night. Well, it powered up right out of the box, set itself immediately... but guess what, I couldn't read the display! Small black numbers with a white light behind them. Then all the other information on the display completely obliterated what chance I had of clearly seeing the time. I gave it a good chance, two days worth. Didn't even turn the radio on. If I can't see the clock, it's a goner. Sorry, I returned it with great disappointment. I really liked the look and the solid feel and the size. But visibility of the display is top of my list.
