I used this item to mount a 19" Viewsonic monitor (Cleared up SO much deskspace it wasn't even funny...). I also used it to mount a 26" LCD monitor to the wall above my desk and have had no issue with the mount. I will say though that the supplied bracket-to-wall hardware was VERY low grade and coming from someone that is quite familiar with the use of hand and power tools, I was astonished as how easily I stripped out the hex heads (w/ a hand-held Allen key) after just one mount and dismount. I wound up using lag screws instead.
