I just return a kodak camera because it did not work right. I was afraid that this one would do the same but was I WRONG. This camera takes great pictures and the cool scences are cool. This is a great camera its a keeper, so far. I would recommend this to anyone.
but you should buy better the one with touch screen lcd just for 20 bucks more but if you dont have the money you cant go wrong with this one just love it
This is an ok camera but extremely basic in it's functions and just as slow as my 4 year old Kodak. Quality of the pictures is fine but this model is much better suited for an older child or teen wanting their own first digital camera, not for experienced users or those wanting to capture those split second baby smiles or have faster and easier control over the settings. This particular point-and-shoot camera does not meet my specific needs and will be returned tomorrow.
I recently purchased a Sanyo digital camera from walmart. After a few weeks I noticed that there were a few darkened pixels on the screen when I turned the camera on. It progressivly got worse and spread throughout the entire screen. The picture was of poor quality, and there was such a delay in taking the picture that beautiful opportunites with my newborn were missed. When I finally found time to try and take it back it was outside of the 30 day period for electronics to be returned to WalMart. (i had jsut recently had a baby, thus the reason for wanting a new camera.) I was told to contact the manufacturer. I called Sanyo the very next morning and was told that there was nothing they could do for me because I had waited longer then 90 days to contact them. It was apparently day 91. I'm not joking. They refused to cut me any kind of break, even refused to repair the item or give me some kind of discount on a repair. Instead they said that the repair would be twice as much as the original cost of the camera, and that didn't include shipping. I would NEVER buy from Sanyo again. Reason #1 - poor quality product to begin with. Reason #2 - their product can't last longer than 90 days without malfunctioning. Reason #3 - their customer service is RUDE and unbelievably unwilling to help out the customer to ANY extent.
Total piece of junk! I purchased this camera as a gift. I took approx. 10 pics to set up the camera and the pics looked pretty good.I took this on a trip with my daughter and after 15-20 pics outside of the stadium the camera went straight to....thank goodness my daughter had brought her Pentax. Did I mention this was my first trip to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers?Great night out except for this piece of junk.Turn it on and it would go back off...turn it on again and all you see is SANYO...then it went off...turn it on again and hit the zoom and it went off...COMPLETE piece of junk!!!I will never buy another SANYO ANYTHING!!
This camera works sometimes for me. I don't particularly like the pictures it takes when it does manage to work right. Its hard to get some that are not blurry. I would not waste your money on this product. I think i have had mine six months now. I wish i wouldn't have been in a rush to get a camera when i bought this one and read the reviews on it. Some of my family members have the kodak cameras and they like them, that will be my next purchase and i will just give this away to one of my nephews. I have had trouble with this camera staying on, then it messes up, shuts itself off, then i have to turn it back on so it will close up, then turn it on again...and then repeat after i take the next picture!
We bought the camera 3 mo. and 2 wks ago---the lens has just stopped retracting and upon calling Sanyo we were told that the warranty is 3 mo. only, so tough luck. We appealed to a ' warranty' manager there-- with the same result. This experience has left us with a really sour taste for both Wal Mart and especially Sanyo #and ALL of their products if this is their attitude#.
