This is a very sturdy and substantial filing cabinet. Fits lots of files. It goes nicely with our other office furniture and really streamlined our home office. Beautiful piece.
This is my 4th and final piece of the cottage collection and probrably my favorite. It is very heavy and does take about 4hrs to put together, but worth it. I had wanted it for awhile, but didn't want to pay the shipping fee. Now with ship to store, the problem was solved. It is very heavy and does require you to follow the directions exactly, but I am very satisfied and can finally get organized!
This filing cabinet came with all the parts necessary. I put it together over several hours. It's composite, so heavy and substantial. The metal lubed gliders attached to the drawer sides, move very smoothly and the cabinet is very sturdy. It comes with a child safety bracket to fasten it to the floor/wall, eliminating tip-over in case the top drawer is pulled open by a child. It holds same as my 3-drawer vertical cabinet. Love it!
As other reviewers have mentioned, this does take a while to put together. However, all instructions are clear, and the cabinet looks very nice when assembled. Lots of good file storage. Great value for the cost of the item, and looks so much better than a metal file cabinet!
The detail instructions was easy to follow and understand. I am very happy with my purchase. The only snag that I had was not understanding that the rail release was a push to the side. If there was a way to document this clearer then the instuctions would be perfect. The conections used is an improvement from what was used several years ago. I like how easy the draws slide on the ball bearing rails.
Great value. Built to last. I was not aware that there was assembly involvled. I am not mechanically inclined. However, I managed to follow the indstructions and put it together correctly the first time. Instructions easy to follow. I am extremely satisfied with the product.
This is a very nice inexpensive piece of furniture to add to any home or office. This product was easy to put together and is very study. The only problem I encountered was the key/lock and getting that to lock sometimes but we don't use it that much.
Another excellent piece of furniture from Sauder. It's very well built, good quality, and very nice looking. We are very pleased with it.
Cabinet went together fairly well - instructions were very clear, just a little time consuming, but to be expected with this size cabinet. Very heavy! Matches other cabinets in the same collection perfectly. The poles that are included to make it usuable for letter size hanging files, could be a bit more sturdy, but they still work. Although I have only had it for less than a week, feels and looks like it will last a lifetime!
We had to open the box and carry the parts in as the box was too heavy to carry in from the car. We assembled it and although it seems to be pretty sturdy (except drawer bottom) as long as you are using hanging files. The front of the drawers are a little off center with a little more of a gap on one side of the drawer then the other.
