I love how this dresser turned out. It came in a lot of pieces but I managed to put the whole thing together by myself. It looks great especially for the value!
I remodeled my bedroom was looking for a inexpensive elegant white dresser and thus was the perfect choice. Took my husband about 2 hours to assemble. I added a gray cloth fabric to coordinate with the room colors and help protect the white wood.
Once you get through the building process this piece is great. But yes, It comes in a million different pieces. Some of them aren't labeled which makes figuring out which one the instructions is talking about a little difficult. Also all the hardware comes in ONE bag without labeling either. So with 6 different types of screws it made it hard to know which one they wanted you to use. It took me almost 5 hours to put together. But half of that was trying to locate unlabeled pieces and hardware.
Understand that this is NOT real, wooden furniture! It's delicate is some parts, and strong in other areas of pressed partial board furniture. So if it gets wet, it will soak in and balloon up in that area. And with all cheap quality things, you have to be willing to except flaws, dings, scratches, dents, etc. Eaxh piece we purchased had one or the other on the drawn front, finished edge, or the top mantel piece. Little - but nothing we couldn't live with. I knew going into this purchase that this would happen and accepted it - KNOWING that this is for kids and they're bound to sing it up one way or another. Plus they're only going to have this furniture for a number of years until they're teenagers, which we will get then full/queen size beds then. We purchased the Sauder Shoals Drawer Chest, Dresser, Nightstand and 2 Twin Beds. I LOVE how they look and function for the girls shared room! The extra storage under the beds was key! I received quote from Sears, Ashley Furniture, Wolfs Furniture and Bonton Furniture for JUST 2 twin beds that had NO storage underneath (as none of the high end furniture stores had beds with attached drawers on drawer tracks - they were all removable pull out shelves on wheels) and they're quotes were all around $2,100.00 Plus! We got all 5 pieces for under $1,000! Huge savings for kids that will only use it for under 5-8 years max. OH AND DO READ THE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO ADJUST THE DRAW HEIGHT AND SPACING!!! They made these drawer tracker amazingly well on how to adjust the height of them so you can square them up to one another. Plus with the dresser drawer and chest - each side and slot ONLY accepts a specific drawer. For the chest, the right side has specific dimensions and the drawer front sticks past the left side more than the right. These drawers are not universal. So be careful when putting them in. All of our drawers lined up perfectly AFTER tweaking the drawer tracks adjustable slots. It seems that everyone else failed at this and failed to finished reading the directions. So if you do well and read everything, it will all workout! OH and lastly - with the Dresser and Chest - the top drawers are NOT single smaller drawers! I thought the Chest had 3 small little drawers on top - NOPE! It's one big drawer like the rest. The facade front just looks like it's 3 independent drawers. Same with the dresser. It's 6 totally drawers. The top two are not 4 independent drawers. The drawer front just looks like it, but it's just another big drawer like the ones beneath them.
Take your time with the assembly. I managed to completely assemble this dresser with no problems. I also received a dresser with no scratches or missing parts. Delivery was quick. The drawers are spacious enough for me. I've only had it for a month and I make sure to be careful with the top surface because of its coloring. Any flaws will be noticeable. It passes because it does not look cheap but you can tell its not expensive either.
Love this dresser. It's sturdy and looks great! Great dresser for the price. This woman senior citizen put it together by herself over 2 days-- about 7 hrs total with a few tools. I recommend putting the sides and top on in the room you plan to leave it in, as it's very heavy. Directions are pretty clear. A few took some thought. Drawer alignment cam screws were helpful. No missing pieces, no damaged parts. I can't wait to get the matching chest.
The drawers are a bit small was expecting it to be a bit bigger but the drawers are deep. I also bought the chest and the drawers are bigger. The mirror that goes with the dresser makes u look fat and I onlyweigh 130lbs; dont recommend buying it. Overall its good for the price.
I am really happy with this dresser. we got this for our little girls nursery. it took a while to put together and my hubby did it with a power screw driver, without this tool i think it would take a really long time. it is a little shorter than i thought but i think it will work because i plan to use as a changing table top as well. the handles are not a solid silver color they also have a black tarnish which i think is to make it look more rustic but i wish it was a solid silver. i think it looks really cute it arrived fast with no dents or any problems. it does have a new furniture smell that everyone complains of but i think that is normal with any new furniture that is painted white. you have to let it air out and our baby is due in a few months so it will be fine. the top drawers i thought were 4 smaller drawers which i wanted but they are not they are the same size as the other drawers just have a different look on the front. i do think it is a little over priced for what it is but i am overall happy with this dresser.
Drawers are poorly made. There are grooves the sides should fit into in order to connect to the front, none of mine do. The only part that actually connects the drawer sides to the front in on the bottom. Maybe using wood glue later, wish I bought something else.
Product came very damaged. Box looked fine, but upon opening it, I found that there was a giant crack in the finish, and one of the legs was broken completely in half. Not looking forward to the return process as it is an extremely heavy box and lugging it back to the store to return it will be difficult.
