I bought these erasers for my high school art students and they are exactly what I wanted. They warm in your hand and aren't too soft or too hard. Their texture is perfect for detailed erasing and "drawing."
I bought these a couple of weeks ago and I hate them. I thought I bought super soft kneaded erasers from Sax before--a good eraser I now have only one of--so I bought these, though I had to buy a huge box of them. They knead easily but leave a thick, sticky residue on my hands after I handle them. When I knead them, they break apart and leave shreds of stringy eraser all over. Nasty. Do they erase? Yes, they erase pretty well--if you can stand to use them. Now I have to return them and I threw out the original packaging they came in. I never thought I'd have to return something as simple as kneaded erasers! But these stink.
