With an on/off switch it would have been even better, since I have to unplug it every time so the light would not drain the battery.
This does exactly what it is advertised to do. I have two issues with the device. First, the 3 LEDs which show battery condition plus the green incandescent light showing that powere is supplied are always on when power is applied (which in my case is "always" because the cigarette lighter scocket does not powere off when I turn of the key; the green light gets quite warm which means the adapter is drawing unnecessary power from the battery. Second, the adapter fits very tightly into the scocket and is difficult to remove. Necessary because of the basic design (you don't want it to twist in the scocket) but is so hard to remove it actually pulled the "sleeve" out of my scocket. I removed to bulbs and am now very careful when I take the adapter out.
