Great value for the price. I bought this charger at Walmart because the one I was using stop working and my motorcycle battery died (I didn't check it for 1 moth) Since then I check this one every week and it works just fine to me.I wish I had bought it before.
My batteries for my mobility scooter had gotten to the point where they wouldn't take a full charge. The chargers built in conditioner worked to revive them so that the scooters charger was able to recharge the batteries fully and much quicker than before using this charger. JUST a PRECAUTION, unhook batteries from scooter and charge one at a time with this charger.
Does the job of 6 AMP to trickle automatically, without the high price. Also works on the kids 6 volt kiddie cars (Barbie, etc.)
No controls at all, charger chooses what settings it wants and charges then switches to trickle/maintain mode when done. Has worked great for my marine battery for a trolling motor.
This fully automatic charger is almost foolproof, even for a novice. It did an excellent job of recovering and recharging a dead battery from a car that had set, unused, for months. It's small size and trouble-free operation make it an ideal charger for home use.
I bought the Xc6 charger because I didn't want to spend a lot of money and had 3 batteries that desperately needed charging. My old schumacher charger/maintainer died for no apparent reason and I really liked the features that it had. At first, I felt like this unit was over simplified. there is no progress indicator other than a green light and my motorcycle battery that sat unused for about a year needed 12 hours to get fully charged after I received the flashing yellow abort warning at about 10 hours. The little fan in this unit never turned on but it must be thermostatically controlled because I returned the xc6 and exchanged it for the xc10 for faster charging times (marginally) and the new charger also doesn't turn on the fan when it starts charging. The microprocessor controlled charging gives you the desulphate mode as well as automatic battery type and size switching. Technological progress sure is nice. This works better than my old schumacher charger that I already thought was a great device. The blue marine charger would have been the better one to buy since it has the % progress digital display but I didn't want to pay the extra $10 over the xc10 which is $10 more than the xc6.
The charger's automatic features make it safe for the novice operator to use. It will charge and maintain a car battery without having to be monitored. I bought this for my son to use in Minnisota's extreme cold to add that little bit of extra energy needed for those cold morning starts and it is working well.
Used it once so far. Voltage adjust automatically and very easy to use and it worked fine for my marine battery. Price was good as well.
I needed a replacement for a Husky Smart Charger in a hurry. This was available now. It does what I need it for (an electric bicycle) well. I just wish it showed the voltage aND amperage like the Husky
My battery read at 7 volts. The charger will not charge the battery because it is automatic. There is no manual switch to get the charger to charge the battery. The charger sometimes indicates that the battery was charged at 10 volts. I believe if a battery is simply discharged, but not very low, the charger will work ok.
