So, I bought this seat because, like everyone else, my rear absolutely ached! I couldn't even seat on a regular bike seat. So, I went to Walmart in search of a new seat. This one was the cheapest and looked to be the most comfortable, so I decided to try it out. Now, I'll admit, at first I absolutely HATED this seat. It felt like I was falling off and it was really hard to pedal! That was only 5 minutes of riding. So, I came back inside and prepared to return it the next day. But, I really wanted to ride my bike that night. I put the old bike seat back on, but it hurt so bad I couldn't even sit down all the way! It just wasn't worth it. So, I thought, well heck, I'll try the new one out one last time. I'm not sure how I adjusted it differently, but as soon as I started riding my bike, I felt like I was sitting in a nice comfy chair! This really is NO PRESSURE! I could go forever on this thing! I'm so glad I decided to try it out one last time. To anyone that decides to buy this seat, you really do have to adjust it several times. But, after that it's GREAT! Although, I would have to say that this seat is best for a beach cruiser/comfort bike.
I enjoy biking for pleasure and for cardio training to lose weight. But after about an hour I have been in so much pain and discomfort and severe chafing. I was getting discouraged. I just purchased a Schwinn Avenue and started searching for a comfort saddle when i saw this one, I read the reviews and saw that peopl;e either loved it or hated it. I am definuitely in the love it category. During my first two rides i was a little nervous about the strange feeling with no horn. afrauid i would slip off. With the upright stance of the Scwinn Avenue Hybrid thgat was no problem at all. when i got back from my third ride of about 2 houirs and 25 miles i realiozed i never gave a thought about my saddle. It was so comfortable was not sore at all. felt just like i had been sitting in a chair. this is such a relief. I would reccomend it to anyone who has a bike with an upright riding stance, Enjoy!!
LOVE IT! I started using my bike to commute to work regularly, and after just a few days I couldn't even sit on my bike seat without pain. It was even hurting when I was off my bike. I went to Walmart to look into a padded seat, and found this one. I will admit it took a few WEEKS to get used to this seat, and at first I wasn't too impressed, but at least I wasn't in pain anymore! Call me stubborn, I wanted to give it a fair chance before deciding how I totally felt about it. A year and a half later, I love this seat and have NO desire to try any other. NO MORE pain while riding! Yes you do have to sit on it differently, that's the point! People, give the seat a fair chance! I agree it may not be for everyone, but it does take time to adjust your body to sitting on it. Great for a commuter, maybe not so great for a competitive rider or mountain biker/off roader.
My husband bought this for me after I got a new schwinn bike. It took a couple of adjustments - The first time, I had it tilted too far and felt like I was being pushed out of the seat. Second time, had it too flat and felt like I was sitting on a chair. Third time was the charm! You just have to find the right setting for your height, etc. It is much more comfortable than the regular bike seat. Their was not the normal soreness after the long bike ride as I have experienced in the past. Would recommend to others!
This saddle feels a bit odd because I'm not used to it. It took me a little while to adjust it so it didn't bother my legs or lean me forward. Once adjusted, I was able to enjoy a comfortable ride. My only gripe is that is kinda wide. However, I am not used to it yet. I will give some time since it is pain free. Feels kinda like sitting on a stool.
I just bought this seat last night as the stock seat was just too painful to ride with. My husband put it on the bike this morning in only a few minutes. With only a few minor adjustment it works great! It does take a little getting used to and I didn't feel as if I was going to fall off as some others did. It is a very comfortable ride once proper adjustments are made and you take a little time to get used to it. I read all of the reviews and just came to the conclusion that you have to try it for yourself and figure out what's best for you.
My daughter is a big girl, so this is too small for her exercise machine, but I think it's the biggest we could have gotten. It's a good product with lots of padding.
Imagine trying to peddle in a chair. I felt like I was going to fall off sometimes and if you extend your legs it hits your thighs. I'm not going to say don't buy it but I will say keep your receipt if it doesn't work for you. I took a chance, didn't like it so I took it back. No harm no foul, just not for me.
This seat is worse than the original seat that came with my bike!!! You can't sit right on it and I lasted about one minute on it before I put my old seat back on. I am going to try one of the seats with the gel pads in it.
This seat was very uncomfortable I could not peddle right and it totally through off my center-- hurt my back and push me forward--hurt my shoulders and neck
