The package came promptly. I had difficulty with putting the tape through the gizmo but the next day I retrieved the directions from the trash as I had accidentally thrown it away and it works great! Thrilled with the service and results.
just what i needed and it came with heavy duty tape. i do a lot of shipping and my old one 20 years old quit, gee sooo soon!!
i purchased this particular dispenser, thinking it would facilitate a smooth taping experience. it did not, it often would hang-up and cause me to waste several inches of tape in the process.
Held the tape…too well. The metal bar that helps guide the tape up to the cutter was wonky and caught the tape almost every time we cut causing us to have to pull the tape off the metal bar, which 50%of the time yanked the tape roll off the wheel. Very frustrating. Did cut and move nice when it wasn't getting caught
Awful. The spring loaded blade doesn't cut and no matter how hard with the tape pressing wiper the blade never comes out fully. The tape shreds or I have to cut with scissors. Awful design. Will never buy again. The tape shredded itself when I was trying to get it loaded and I use these kinds of shipping tape dispensers all the time. Going back to Duck Tape brand.
Worst tape gun ever! The plastic Scotch Heavy Duty rolls were constantly sticking to the roll of tape, with almost every cut. You then spent several minutes (tearing strips or giving up and moving to one of the other 4 in the pack (while someone else worked on the roll. So, I spent the money on this tape gun, big mistake!! It would come to a complete stop or would not start when trying to seal a packing box. It would stick to the red plastic part AND the blade guard. So, you have to stop and unstick and pull and cut off, wasting expensive tape! I never had an issue with tape guns at work! I got one there. It doesn't have a plastic section like Scotch and the blade guard is much smaller. (I have attached photos of the red Scotch brand and my work white one. Not a single problem!
If the objective was to prevent the user from taping anything, it's a smashing success! Its "safety" feature makes it challenging to get the teeth to properly cut tape, and there's a metal latch that seems to be designed to stop tape from being dispensed at all. Hilariously, the YouTube video instructions for this device elides this feature altogether, and a comment calling them out on it has more likes than the video itself. 0/5 stars, would not buy again
Broke after taping one box. It came without a blade to cut the tape. Removed the cover to set it, nothing was there, but I had to use scissors and tape. And the screw over the plastic protector, popped off when I did try the first time.
This thing is not easy to use. Sadly I didn't read the reviews before buying because why would I need to, right? Well after using and feeling like an imbecile because I'm struggling to get it to cut the tape I come back to read the reviews. Good news is I don't feel so dumb anymore. Bad news is that I've got a lot more boxes to pack using this thing.
this thing SUCKS! I had to break off the safety latch an put screws in the keep the teeth out. such a pain. Definitely not made for heavy duty packaging and continuous use
