Hard shifting then used sea foam tranny tune in tranny shifts amazing now
Changed the oil on a truck that had the original oil in it that has been used every year since it was new. Put trans tune in when I changed the fluid and the truck now shifts great! Before the truck was slam into gear and you would practically hit your head on the back window between second and third
I used this on a Buick car I bought that had high miles. The transmission shifted hard so I took a chance with trans tune. After driving it a little while the shifting smoothed out. I also used it in my power steering reservoir on my 2002 ford power stroke. It has hard spots when I tried to turn. This freed up the steering making it turn smooth again. I love Sea Foam Products!
We purchased a 2013 Nissan Versa with CVT. It had 175000 miles and for the most part, ran fine. Traditionally, Nissans have a great reputation. Within a couple of months, I noticed the CVT shifting strangely- when you take off from a light, the RPM would hit close to 3000 and the car barely accelerated. I ended up having to light-foot it until about 20 mph to get any sort of acceleration from it . I then changed old fluid and BOTH filters- better, but still wonky. Forums said look for clogged valve body and solenoids. Tried Trans Tune (make sure to drain a pint out before putting Trans Tune in.) BRAVO, SEAFOAM FOLKS! It shifts amazing and better than ever! Now, it doesn't spin wildly on take-off and the car now moves forward when I hit the gas! I am resetting the Check Engine Light (Faulty Torque Converter LockUp Code) and will report back in 100 miles. If things stay the same, I am a Happy Guy. No- I don't Hot Rod the poor thing- who "races" a Versa!?!?!
my car's transmission wasn't working so well, maybe due to missed maintenance, so i asked my mechanic to add this in after he changed my transmission fluid. over the past year the transmission doesnt seem to shift as bad though not perfect. i would say either the trans fluid change, adding trans tune, or both turned the transmission from a 60% to 80%. it hasnt hurt my transmission, i don't think so it can be worth a shot!
I bought a 1999 Subaru Wagon with a broken Odometer at 263,000 miles and it quickly started hard shifting to Drive and sometimes wouldn't go forward at all and even had it towed once. A friend said to try the Sea Foam Trans so I drained out some fluid and put it in. At first it lasted about a month and then each time it lasted a little longer. Once I changed the filter the next use lasted close to 6 months! I am ready for more now but it's just too darn cold outside to laying on the ground draining fluids so hopefully it can wait. I already have a can and am ready for the next semi warm day. I am thrilled with this stuff and will continue to use it until the car falls apart.
My Brother called me and said his transmission was slipping well, I'm not a Mechanic I'm a Body man after test driving his truck yes he's right so I went to the local auto parts store and picked up Transmission fluid and filter and Sea Foam Trans Tune, I changed it out for him and test drove it taking it easy, I told him not to get on it for a few days then drive it as usual, after a week he dropped buy and told me it's like new, Thanks Sea Foam I hate pulling Transmissions out of 4X4's.
My auto repair shop recommended this years ago and I use it at least once/twice a year ever since. No engine problems
Expensive, but it stopped out Ford front wheel drive transmission from vibrating at idle... no idea how or why. We tried a lot of things including lots of $$$ at 3 different repair shops... this stuff fixed it, they could not. We should have tried it first!
My Volvo XC70 has a stiff steering problem. I used it in my steering fluid (about 2 cups) and I did notice an improvement after about an hour of use. Instructions on can were unclear though, so had to search on Youtube.
