I have a pair of these in my studio and our band has 4 pairs of these. Can't be beat for the price !!! We never needed more than 4 at any gig we played yet but we are looking ahead, 3600 watts into 8 of these monsters if needed. Solid bass, Clear highs, Don't weigh a ton.
I have been purchasing SeismicAudioSpeakers brand speakers over the years and they never let me down. These FL155PC are great. They definitely handle their rated power and have a very good clear sound. Lows mids and highs come through clean and strong. Made with real plywood not cheap particle board or MDF. Most name brands still used MDF on some of their speakers costing significantly more than SeismicAudioSpeakers brand speakers, but they don’t compare. The low price is no indication of quality. These are great speakers. I recommend these to everyone over any other brand. I have owned and used every major name brand out there in my 25+ years in music as a musician and sound engineer. If you want to spend thousands and waste your money be my guest. No they aren’t gonna fill a concert hall but for the price you can buy enough to fill a concert hall and spend a fraction of the cost of even cheap name brand equivalents. I’ll stick with SeismicAudioSpeakers!
I bought these to reinforce my already awesome home theatre system. I love my music to be loud with a lot of bass! I also want the mids, and highs to be crystal clear. I used to have EV 18 inch subs with EV 15s and horns, 2 pair of Cerwin Vega D9s! Numark, and SoundCraftsMen amps. It sounded Awesome! I ended up trading all of the speakers for a 5.0 Mustang GT. I still had a pair of MTX Dual 12 home speakers, Bose 4.2s ran by the same amps on a Harman Kardon Pre Amp. It sounded great, but I decided to buy the Seismic Audio Dual 15 Fl-155PC'S, and now it sounds fenominal! I'm really surprised of the quality of these speakers! No exaggeration, they are as good as my EV's were! At a quarter of the price!
I bought a pair of FL-155pc Speakers and I plugged them in to a 100 watt per channel amp because I'm still shopping for what amp to buy for these, I was only wanting to hear the tonal Quality because I didn't expect much from putting 100 watts into 800 watt RMS 1600 watt Peak Speakers , Wow these thing nearly blow the roof off with the power amp only at 3/4 and my mixer at 1/2 , The sound was Stunning , Tight , Punchy and Crisp ,and really Silky on the top end , They sound way better than my studio monitors and I just love that the 100db Sensitivity makes these really loud with Minimum power , These are the only Dual 15" Cabs I have found with Birch Plywood in this price range and nearly twice the price speakers are using particle board , I'm looking forward to hooking these up along with The Enforcer II Passive Subs and running 16 channels with fully miced drums through them , One more thing I'd like to say, Seismic Audio sent me the Speakers with the Wheels on the Bottom and it makes it really easy to move them around .
Outstanding sound and decent imaging for a larger box. While we loved the SA-15T for many events, having the extra 15 and the upgraded birch cabinet cranks out more than enough sound that sounds good even at low volume as well as enough sound to do a healthy block party.... Put these out, dancing and happy smiles will come. Get ready for fun that will be as contagious as a smiles throughout the venue. That is without an additional Subwoofer. For even more punch we added 2 Baby Tremors that made it loud enough for even more. Easily the last all around solution you would need for passive tops costing under 2 grand. The wheel kit is a nice touch too. WAY bigger sound that you would expect for even triple their modest asking price. Highly Recommended!!!
We saw these on preorder when we were considering the already very decent 155T to round out our speaker choices for a medium to larger event when only wanting to run one set of mains with 1 or more pairs of subs. We already scored a pair of 15T second hand and loved their value and performance for the $$. We thought the 155T’s made sense when they were already adding to a very good performance of the 15T with a little more to go around to fill larger spaces. Enter the FL155PC.... mixing up ALL of the goodness of the Seismic sound in a dual 15 format with even BIGGER sound from the larger woofers AND a birch cabinet... Boy was I in for a treat. We however, made the mistake of letting these loose in an ordinary garage. This would not bode well for people hanging around upstairs in the same house expecting a quiet afternoon... hence they put out A LOT of beautiful sound suitable for a block party. It is your mission if you choose to accept it.... to share music as it is meant to be heard. It is all packed in an easy to manage cabinet size that even has a handy wheel kit. It even makes set up and tear down a snap. They have the same attention to detail found only in much more expensive speakers offered by other manufacturers. There is outstanding sound and crazy high sensitivity that make these things at home in rigs with only 100 watts or 1000 if you want the entire neighborhood to celebrate with you. Add Enforcer subs or even a stack of Baby Tremor subs and the output will not be meant for just a chill dinner party... be ready to rock with these. They are worth EVERY dime, investing in these will make you smile every time it is time to set these up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED even if you can a much bigger budget.
Even though abuse from the FedEx or UPS delivery person, my speakers were undamaged. I opened the boxes carefully, set them up, plugged them in and they played flawlessly. The customer service people were very diligent in making my order easy and quick. They sound great. I play in a blues based band and these with my sub will fill the room with ease.
I have these wired to a Magnitude 2400 power amp at 1260 watts per channel (4 ohms), Just bought a scene saving mixer. One night I had the mic set to high volume since I was using headphones only. The next day I powered up everything making sure to turn the mike slider down but forgetting that the volume level would remain where I left it the night before. When the amp kicked in, the feedback from the mike was enough to literally cause pain in my ears. This went on too for more than just a few seconds since I had no idea what was going on. I thought for sure I damaged these speakers...would have bet the farm on it. When I powered everything back up they worked fine....no audible damage whatsoever. Need I say more?
After researching various brands of similar PA speakers decided to give these a try. So far so good. Excellent company to deal with. Product arrived quickly when promised. Very portable with the wheel kit. Have only used a few times so far but the sound was very clear and loud. I would recommend these speakers.
I use the tops for mostly high, mids, and mid bass. I use the BABY tremors to fill in where the lows are desired and still keep it all portable enough to be transported in the back of a Chevy Traverse. These speakers rock but you will need subs to keep to the full range amplifier running cooler and put the subs on a separate amp to give that full rich sound SA is known for. Really happy with the results and so too are the clients!
