This cab is a huge improvement. I was using an old open back combo amp to house the Celestion creamback that I have connected to a Marshall DSL20HR. It sounded fine, but this sounds amazing - so much resonance and very tight. The build quality is top notch and speaker installation was almost seamless, (some of the included screws were too long) Thanks Seismic for a great product.
I got my 1x12 cabinet for compact use. It works and sound great. Bad knees and joints from being prior military makes a 412 or 212 hauling to practice or gigs a pain, so compartmentalizing it all is good. It’s way easier to swap speakers too. It’s sturdy which is good. I recommend it.
A great 1x12. In my case, I have put in a Mojotone Greyhound speaker. This is an excellent combination. Great sounding by itself, or with my Seismc 2x12 in a wet/dry/wet setup. I definitely recommend to check out this company, and their guitar cabinet offerings.
I bought this cabinet to use in a bass rig. The 12" driver I had required a little larger size, but with a little EQ it sounded just fine. The cab is very solid and it's a nice light weight (My back thanks you). My original plan was to make it ported for better bass response, but I tried it as is and it works well. I stuffed the box with some polyester batting to help things out. I'm very pleased.
This is my second Seismic 1x12. The first one I bought was years ago... this new one has some improvements over the original in terms of fit n finish. When I bought the first one, you had to install the T nuts your self. This one came with them pre installed. The only issue for this cab is the spacing holes are meant for Celestion and my example did not fit my Eminence speaker at all! So if you are planning to load an Eminence speaker in here, you may have issues. Otherwise.... I really do not think you can beat these. Those 440live cabinets aren't even as good.
I needed a 1 X 12 cabinet to mount a guitar speaker in and this one turned out to be perfect. It seems to be well made and everything including the speaker mounting screws was included. Very little assembly time required for the speaker and everything fit precisely. It looks and performs awesome. I could not be happier with the product. I'll be getting another one soon. Great job SEISMIC. 5-stars !! Used for all guitar applications: rehearsal, jamming, gigs, concert, etc.
Product arrived quickly. Build of this cab is fantastic for the price...feels extremely sturdy. I put a 75 watt Celestion creamback in it and the thing sounds amazing. Don’t hesitate to spend your money on this. It’s well worth it.
This is my third Seismic Cab and I'm happy with all of them. For the money they are an absolute steal. This 1x12 has a nice full sound and the bass response of a much larger cabinet. The removable grill baffles on these are a fantastic feature. They are easy to load, well made, and sound fantastic.
I bought this cabinet, originally, to convert to a ported unit to use with my keyboard rig & an Eminence 12" coaxial set up but ....... I may just leave it as is & throw in a 12" guitar speaker to use with my Jet City JCA20h or Bugera T5. This cabinet is incredibly well made ..... I could not find any flaws ..... I can tell (based on reviews & construction) that it is going to sound good no matter which route I take.
I originally bought a new EVM 12L speaker to improve the sound on my old Music Man amp after reading how some great players that I admire love its tone, but then found that the speaker was too deep to fit in my amp's cabinet. So, after researching a bit I found this Seismic Audio cabinet to use as an extension speaker. It was delivered in a few days, and took only a few minutes to pop in the speaker - so, almost instant gratification. The tone is really good. I only wish I had gotten better speakers years ago.
