WOW! So Much Cleaning Power!

I'm impressed that a laundry detergent, (and I don't like referring to it as DETERGENT) because this product from Seventh Generation is all natural and hypoallergenic and doesn't have harmful chemicles that can be released into the enviroment. And another great factore is how my husband sensitive skin didn't act up after washinv his clothes. Most of the time, when I've used other laundry detergents, his neck would break out around where his collars touch his neck and parts of his stomack and back. He didnt have these rashes after putting his shirts on or other clothing. Like his boxers. I've had to rinse his clothes twice in the past to make sure all the soap was rinsed out to avoid an allergic reaction. With the new Seventh Generation, Free & Clear 4X Concentrate and its made for sensitive skin, All Natural, AND fights stains, I didn't rinse twice. And my husbands clothes came out smelling fresh and the best part, he wasn't complaining about his neck itching. Not a peep. I was waiting for him to make a comment in either direction because I DIDN'Y TELL HIM ABOUT USING THIS PRODUCT. Call it phycosymatic, on his part but, I really wanted to see if he broke out or started itching his neck just because he knew, hus T Shirt had just been washed. He didn't itch or say anything so, I spoke up. I asked him if his neck itched. He said no, why? Thats when I told him that I just washed his shirts in Seventh Generation All Natural, Free & Clear laundry detergent. Theres that word again, I hate using. How can this be a detergent? As save as it is but effective to clean and refresh clothes and bedding, yet have zero chemicles? I'm not sure how they did it but, I'm a believer when my husband puts on his clean shirts and I don't have to hear him say, "did you rinse my shirts twice?" And, I feel good about the waste water, emptying out into the enviroment isn't harming the animals and plant life. Our rivers and streams. I feel great about being part of that community that is doing my part. I'm recommending anyone that has a family member or even the whole family, sensitive to hars detergents, to use Seventh Generation Free & Clear. Its all natural, free of dyes and has 4X the cleaning power. My laudry came out clean, smelling fresh and took out a few spots on my husbands T Shirt that he recently dropped some coffee on. It was a WHITE T SHIRT too! Thats amazing and powerful clean! This product is also dermatologist tested and MADE for sensitive skin.

Just started using this on a regular basis, and I am duly impressed. 4 loads today, duvet, sheets, towels and they all came out better, they came out perfect! The cardboard packing is what caught my eye, but now I'm hooked on the contents too! No more softener.

Bad Cap Design

The new cap design is bad. No matter how careful I am, I end up with detergent dribbles, and my next move is to go directly to the sink for cleanup. My next container of laundry detergent will be of a brand that has the older style cap.

The new cap is awful

Have purchased this product for years - the detergent is great but the new cap design is a complete mess. It's as though no one tested pouring it in real world situations. The detergent flows over the sides of the spout when you pour and detergent gets caught in the cap threads and seeps down the outside. Please don't direct me to follow up with your quality team - there are enough reviews here stating the exact same problem. Go back to the old cap immediately.

New Cap is Terrible

I love this detergent. I've been using it for years. The new cap is horrible. When it's put back on, detergent leaks down the sides of the bottle and drips onto the floor. The old cap was so much better.

Love the product and have been using it for years. But - the new design for the cap is a disaster! I actually just purchased a different brand, so I can empty that container and use the bottle. The new 7th generation cap design is a mess, with soap running down the side of the container and onto the base of the cabinet where I store laundry products. Please, please change back to the old cap!

Great product, poor cap!

I love 7th Generation Lavender. It is my choice detergent.... That being said, the new cap and measuring system is very sloppy and annoying. Please switch back to the original cap and measuring system. There is funk outside the cap and rim after each use.

Bring back old cap!

Bring back the "old" design! As mentioned in many reviews, this new cap is terrible! It is incredibly messy, and a waste of more plastic - it's now two pieces versus the old which was one piece and the detergent didn't run over onto bottle. I've used 7G laundry detergent for many years, but this will be the last bottle I buy until you bring back the old design. Seriously disappointed 7G so I'm giving 1* due to bottle design.

The new cap is tremendously hard to get off the first time - My arthritic hands won't do the job, and I had to take a wrench to it, and then it took a good 15 minutes to make it budge. And the nozzle came off, too. This is the second time it happened, so I'm going to get the little detergent packs from now on.

The cap is not good

The detergent would garner 5 stars for cleaning but I'm giving it 5 stars due to the cap. The cap is not clearly marked az to how much to use. The directiins say line 3 and line 5 but no where does it tell you what line 3 and 5 are. After using, the leftover detergent runs down the side of the bottle. The directions say wash and dry the cap after every use. That is a ridiculous waste of time and water.
