I received this product to try for free. It's great. Just as absorbent as other products on the market and they are made from organic matterial which to me is a great bonus. I think that you have definitely convinced me to make the switch to your brand.
I love how these are 100% natural, No chemicals, bleaching etc. Makes me feel good to know I'm not poisoning my body! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I used o.b. for decades, but eventually realised that bits of polyester were showing up in the composting toilet's product, after 2 years of composting. So I switched to Seventh Generation brand because it's 100% cotton and thus biodegradable. I use the applicator-free type, so the only plastic to throw away is the tiny wrapper. I wish they came in the ultra size that o.b. offers, so now I have to combine super-plus tampons with "period panties" to prevent possible problems. It can be hard to find the end of the band around the middle of a Seventh Generation tampon when in the dark, or with rough farmer's fingers, or in a hurry, or with someone knocking on the bathroom door. That's a design flaw I'd love to see corrected. Still a great product, though.
I love these! They are as effective as o.b. (My fave brand up til now). Plus I love their mission, and that I can trust them when they tell us what's in their products :) I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Opinions are 100% my own.
The past few years I have been moving away from convential health and beauty because of the chemicals and dyes. It just makes me uncomfortable. I was pleased that these are a cleaner option that makes me feel good using them. The box was smaller and had fewer tampons than I was accustomed to but I liked that the materials include organic cotton that is unchlorinated. That can only be a good thing. They did the job as effectively and they felt comfy. I was pleased to try this product complimentary via Generation Good.
In trying to be more conscious of harmful chemicals used in feminine products, I like seventh generation products. It wasn't until I got older until I realized mainstream brands use very harmful substances which we basically put inside of our bodies. I recommend these for someone trying to live a ‘cleaner' lifestyle to avoid as much harmful chemicals as possible. They are a bit more difficult to insert without applicator, I actually prefer the applicator type. They are much easier to use.
I've been using these tampons for about a year or so now. I'm not sure why people are having trouble with the applicator. I've never had a problem inserting unless I've just put on hand lotion. I love these tampons. Absorbency is great. No leaks ever. And the fact that they're organic cotton makes me feel more comfortable about using them. The money is always an issue, but I cut corners in other places. I spend more to eat organic and use organic items (I recently starting buying organic cotton shirts) because I got kidney cancer 5 years ago and don't plan on getting it again. I've never had one problem with these tampons. They're great and I recommend them to everyone. People need to start taking better care of themselves and the planet :)
I received a sample of this product for free, just in time for me to try it this month! I usually choose slim-regular tampons by another brand or forgo a tampon and use a pad. I felt this product was designed perfect for my needs. It was easy to use with the cardboard applicator. The product is reliable, through a workout and a day of work I did not need to switch to another product. This was slim enough for me, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all using it. T
I've been purchasing these for the last three months because I was looking for a non-synthetic tampon. These fit the bill, and I like that they're organic, too. However, like other reviewers, I found that the applicator is VERY difficult to use. It doesn't push in easily at all, and before I figured out a way to make them work I wasted a few. I pinch the applicator between my finger and thumb on the grippy bit, making a slight indentation, and then press the plunger in so the tampon sticks out just a little bit before I insert it so that it makes the whole process easier. I haven't had any issues since I've used that method. It's inconvenient, but worth it to me to have a cotton tampon that does it's job.
I've found myself with an entire box of tampons I can't use because of the applicator--no way to separate the tampon and the applicator as designed, nor to insert without it. Trying to hold it together while I deal with my period another way. I'm so disappointed because of how terrible non-organic tampons are for your body and plastic for the planet. I really wanted these to work.
