It works great. We got the 54” backboard, in ground circular pole. Super Easy adjust handle. I would not worry about over adjusting height, it does have a metal piece at top, so so you cannot go over 10' or under 7.5'. Handle can be removed with pin, steady backboard, firm pole system. Love the wide v-shape on back of board- helps keep backboard still. Quiet system.
Love it. Wish it was less guesswork in making it square to your court/driveway, but other than that, we'll worth the $.
Installed this inground basketball hoop and it works great! Nice price too for what you get.
Good product. Was easy to assemble with good assembly instructions. One problem is that the pole being circular, there is no way to mark the front edge accurately while putting in the ground so that the backboard faces the court absolutely straight. Though I followed the instruction word by word to mark the front line, the pole having a circular design as opposed to square in other hoops, it cannot be fool proof. I like everything in this hoop, but it is at an angle to the center line of my court. There is no way to adjust it once put in the ground
so we had to get help with this the guys that did it knew what they were doing so if you dont know what you are doing dont do it by the way for us this took 5 hours to set up on mothers day it was very wabbly with the concrete so jist give it a couple of days before you or you let your kids play with it.
The basketball hoop seems to be quality but there are too many issues to recommend it. The quality control just isn't there. Several of the bolts won't line up and are close to impossible to screw into place, my lower arms were about 1 inch off because where the arms rest on the bar is not level. As others have said it's very hard to line it up perfectly straight. I followed the direction and I'm probably about 1/4 inch off the center but there is no surefire way to be sure it's straight. You need to line it up best you can and hope.
Like others have said, there is no way to get the goal straight by following the directions. I perfectly aligned the bottom post in the concrete, only the have the top post attach crooked and ruin the basketball goal. There is no way to correct or straighten out the goal. The top post isn't aligned correctly to the bottom two posts. I also had to drill out the 4 holes in the backboard so it would even attach to the post bracket. The backboard is flimsy plastic. This could have been a decent budget in-ground basketball goal, but now it is just an eyesore in my driveway. Terrible!
The item seemed okay but the assembly was terrible, we had to drill new holes on the backboard. It took us all day to complete. All family worked on it. Usually my husband and I quickly assemble whatever we buy that requires assembly, but this….
I got this basketball put in the cement of my NEW drive way. When you raise the goal… the goal completely leans back. And is not straight. We checked the pole several times and it is perfectly straight. It is the back board manufacturer issue!!!! This is in cement on a very expensive drive way I just put in. Idk how I'm going to fix this but this has made me so angry bc a 400 basketball goal is now going to cost me thousands in damages to remove and replace
When I pay $400 for a Christmas present, I DO NOT expect the package to be destroyed. Now I have no confidence that when the kids open this mess that, 1) all of the parts are there and 2) if anything is damaged inside. From the looks of the photos attached, I expect my kids to be disappointed.
