I love the Warm Shaker TV stand in tobacco. It is made well, has great storage, perfect height and width and is beautiful.
First unit we received had some damaged pieces. I took pictures of the pieces, contacted the company and received very positive feedback. I received the form and emailed that along with the pictures. Within a week or so received feedback that they would send a complete replacement to us. We received that within a couple weeks. The new unit received was in good condition. We assembled it and it looks good. Assembly is definitely a two person job but doable. Instructions were very good.
I just love this new addition to my living room. It gives the perfect combination of classic and sophisticated. The white goes with everything. I was scared at the beginning because it was the first time buying from Simpli Home. It has excellent quality and I ended up buying a bunch of them from them for my new apartment. I'm very happy with my purchase.
This is a solid, quality piece of furniture and a great value for the price. Assembly took some time just due to the size of the piece and the number of doors, etc., but everything fit together well. We're extremely happy with the finished product. It holds our flat screen TV and the shelves, cabinets and drawer provide ample space for electronics and other items. (The hinges on the drop-down door did break during assembly, but the team at Simpli-Home put replacements in the mail the day we contacted them, and they worked perfectly). We highly recommend this product and Simpli-Home!
The box containing the "Warm Shaker / Norfolk / Lexington 72" TV Media stand" arrived yesterday. I was on my own to put it together. I'm nearly 60 but I've put together scores of things in the past & I have a mechanical mind - so what the heck! The finished product is fabulous. It looks like a expensive piece of furniture. Solid wood, no particle board. The hardware was complete and even a zip lock bag called "extras"! The holes always lined up beautifully with the hardware & a number of the parts arrived partially assembled. (Yay!) The directions were clear, the parts worked well and the piece came together beautifully. The only comparable TV/ media stand that was similar in style cost more than twice - so assembling it to save serious $$ was well worth the effort.
The process and the unit were both very good - good company and they do have good support that you can reach without any delays. We purchased two of these units and both were in good condition when we got them. There was a minor, highly visible ding on the top front face of the unit, but we worked with the customer service team and worked out a solution that was acceptable to all of us. We like the two units very much - in the same room - either side of a floor to ceiling fireplace stone wall.
We got our TV Stand delivered today around noon started right away putting it together took my time after reading a lot of reviews and problems people had. I followed the instructions except I read a tip if installing the flip door to its shelf after building the draw. Glad I did i can see it would be difficult to do later on as in the instruction. Very happy with the product and only ran into one problem, I had 1 broken door hinge but was still able to use it until I get a replacement. the wood is very soft so take care when putting you tv and other components on it, I had no problems there with just was very careful.
This a beautiful piece of furniture and BY FAR the EASIEST assembly wood furniture i've ever put together (%26 i've put together lots because - thanks NWO economy!). As a single person this took me MAX 2 hrs to assemble while half watching TV. Easy as pie with super clear instructions %26 images. This was also SUPER well packaged, labeled parts, and extremely well put together. Yes it is real wood but it is a soft pine so as other users stated just be careful not to drop %26 knick pieces. My onlyyy complaint is that the main divider units labeled EL %26 ER have the “front/avant” label exposed to the front of the cabinet where they are visible. I tried to remove but they leave residue so I will have to fool with them later. I triple checked my instructions %26 I installed everything with the instructions exactly. So I am wondering if this was a design flaw because it also makes some of the peg holes for the drawer inserts inside the cabinet pieces not line up well. Just a thought… Regardless, affordable %26 bargain piece that looks really good. I'm very pleased! Shipping was also super quick via walmart. I did have one small nick in the very front of one of the unit shelves - but that was it on the entire piece which is incredible care with shipping.
Product was well packed. No parts missing. Parts were all labelled. Instructions were a bit sketchy. There were some flaws with the wood parts. Need to look at instructions and parts carefully to identify left/right/top orientation for proper assembly. I worked slowly and carefully and the finished product looks really good. After shopping several furniture stores/outlets, and online, I feel that for the price I paid, this piece looks as good as TV stands costing in the $500/$700 price range. It's constructed of real pine with a medium brown stain and low gloss clear finish.
Good quality furniture. They give you extra hardware. Just don't over tighten screws and everything will be fine.
