I purchased my first Singer One 4 years ago and it is still pumping out product for my business. I make cat toys and that machine has produced thousands of them. I recently bought a second Singer One as a back up and to have the ability to have 2 people sewing when needed. I love the fancy stitches, it adds a lot of detail to some of my toys. The large work area is great compared to that of a standard machine, and it's a great machine to teach beginner sewers with.
Best sewing machine ever!!! I couldn't be happier! The fact that it was on sale and cheaper than any other store is a bonus!
I love every part of this wonderful machine. Love to sew, so I use it a lot. Most recently made a Snow White costume for my granddaughter. I also do a lot of mending and fixing with three grandchildren around - always something to fix or mend, and they always bring things to Grandma. I work at JoAnn's store in Mentor and whenever I can, I let customers/guests know what a good machine the Singer One is. The Singer section is separate from the JoAnn's store, but every chance I get, when cutting fabric, etc., I talk about how I like my machine, especially if someone asked about machines.
I love this machine! Everything works as it should and it is super easy to use! Wish I had found this one long ago.
Extremely easy to use love it
It was a gift to my "grand" daughter in another state but she said it is WONDERFUL. She wanted to make masks to donate during this tough time and had the time but no machine. I taught her to sew over 9 years ago when I lived in MI pre retiring in FL, so she def has the skills. She said she could thread it herself without using the book. She learned on my basic Singer so was able to do all by herself. I would love to buy myself one like her's. It has many more features then mine.
So far I'm loving my machine! I've had it for about 11 months and what I've done on it has turned out great. I'm a brand new sewer so it definitely took some practice, and I haven't even touched half the things this machine can do. My very first project I tackled was a queen sized quilt, (probably not the best first project lol) but the machine did amazing. I quilted it myself on this machine and everything. I love the extra long base!
Good product for the price
A little difficult to get needle threaded but after that and supervision from an experienced sister, my first sewing experience was wonderful! I love this machine
I like the stitch selection, threader, and accessory draw. But over all, it's a disappointing machine. It won't sew over thick fabric or seams without bogging up the bobbin thread. I've had in the repair shop three times in one year! The only thing Singer had to day was sorry I was having a bad experience.
