I did read other reviews before purchasing this item. Of course you do not need a pick up truck to pick this item up. I purchased a queen and it was appox. 1 1/2 inches smaller than my other mattress for the width. Very Very comfortable sleeping. I am going to purchase another one in the future.
So, I bet you're reading this because you (and possibly your significant other) need a new mattress. You came across this item, which as 20+ positive reviews, but still seems like a very strange item. I mean, a mattress in a box? Of course I was skeptical. But for the price, and Walmart's 'don't ask, don't tell' return policy, why not? Box weighed about 75 lbs, and fit into the back seat of a 4 door sedan. Opened it up, following directions, and watched the magic happen. Within minutes it already felt perfect, but we listened to the directions anyway and slept on our old crummy mattress on the floor for that night. Now, 14 months later, it is still the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Keep an open mind, and you'll be rewarded with this gem.
This is the most user friendly product that Wal Mart sells. It is a top quality mattress and is the most comfortable one that I have sleep on. If you decide to purchase this one you will not be let down. From the transport of this item and the setting up of the item - it is an almost task free set up. It is wonderful. It is packaged in a small durable container and is compressed and only took me about three minutes for it to come to full size. This is a packaging marvel and easy to handle.
This exceeded my expectations. The mattress is so incredibly comfortable. I hate getting out of bed. I am going to recommend this to everyone I know. The downside is that it smells like fresh paint when you first open it. The first day, it reeked of that smell. Truly overwhelming. After some time, the smell isn't there anymore. It's also not as thick as the picture shows it but still very comfortable and soft.
This was easy to transport while in the box. Very soft and cushiony. It was a little too soft so my son was very happy when I traded him for his firm mattress. This was fine for me, my sons mattress was twice the price yet he felt the comfort was better on the in-the-box mattress. Due to back issues, I do need a firmer mattress.
I love this product! I got my first one about 1 and a half years ago! I needed a mattress at a decent price and I did not have a truck to haul it! This thing is very compact and it fit nice in the back of my car! It has all the air sucked out of a bag that it is in! Cut the bag and I got a full size pillow top mattress! It not a piece of foam but a real mattress with springs and all! It is so comfy too! It gives great support for the contours of your body! I slept on high price mattresses before but this is just as good or better! I had mine for about 18 months and it still looks like the day I got it! This gives great support but it is not a firm mattress! It has a little give to it! My daughter always liked mine so I bought her one too. If you don't see your size that you want to order try again later because they are out of stock on that size! Its so nice to really look forward to sleeping on a nice comfy bed at night! Also you do not need a box spring you can use the highly rated Slumber 1 Smart Base Steel Bed Frame at here at Walmart.com! I also recommend highly! if you do not like this mattress, take it back to your local Walmart they are always nice about giving you a refund! But I don't think you will !!
I was skeptical when my wife wanted to purchase this item. How can you get a good mattress that is delivered in a box? I gave in to her since our bedroom is upstairs and it was very difficult to maneuver our old mattress up the stairs and around the corners. This was a blessing! It was easy to get the mattress to the bed without risking scraping the sides or corners or knocking anything over and breaking it. We rolled the mattress on top of our box springs and opened it. It was vacuum-sealed and when we opened the packaging it was contained in the mattress magically got thick. It can take up to 48 hours to completely expand but we were able to test it almost immediately and sleep on it 3 hours after we received it. The comfort was incredible. We will never buy a traditional mattress again!
We really never buy a mattress on Internet, So we are very scared for what we'll find. But it very comfortable, no smell. You just had to wait some days to take it original form. But I'm sleeping very well with all the family. Maybe, one thing, it is little bit too soft.
We needed a twin mattress for my son's new bed. I wanted him to have something comfortable, yet we didn't have a ton of money to spend. I bought this specifically because of the pillow top and the affordability of it. It comes vacuum packed and rolled up in a box which looks much too small for a mattress to fit in - don't let this scare you!!! As soon as you cut the plastic that the mattress is sealed in, it immediately begins to take on the proper shape. It only takes seconds! Also, it is surprisingly comfortable. My son really likes it so far. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a good mattress with an affordable price.
When the box arrived I thought that I had misread the product description and it was just the pillow top. I unrolled the mattress and starting cutting open the packaging. Once the vacuum seal was broken the mattress started to spring back into shape. It took less than a minute for the mattress to be at full size. The pillow top is not as pillowy as I would have liked but all in all I am very happy with my purchase.
