From the reviews I had read, I was eager to get this mattress and see for myself how comfortable it was. I can say that I am not disappointed. I found the mattress lighter in weight than I expected so even though I had it delivered to my home I found the box quite light so I could have had it delivered to my local Walmart and picked it up myself. It was easy to open and cut off the packaging. It expanded rather quickly and I used it within hours of taking it out of the box. Yes. There is a subtle chemical smell but I am sure it will dissipate in time. I couldn't believe how comfortable it is. Firm but not too much. GLAD I bought it--GREAT for the price too!!
Bought this as a temporary mattress just to upgrade to a king size bed. The first night it was hard to sleep on, and I was sore the next morning. We have had it a week now and it is amazing. I think maybe we just used it to soon after taking it out of the package. No more neck or back pain, no tossing and turning, and wake up feeling well rested. As for other comments saying it is hot because it holds in heat, that all depends on the sheets that you get. I would highly recommend this product.
Last year I had an authentic Temperpedic and i can tell you that this mattress is equally good if not better and only a fraction of the price. Came well packaged via fedex, manageable box, easy to set up and fully formed in one hour. Was hesitant about the 8" size but is a full 8 and does not look or feel skimpy. Did not smell. I dont usually write reviews, but was very impressed with this product and price and delivery.
This is the best mattress that I have ever had!!! My husband and I bought a temperpedic mattress after buying new spring mattresses every year for 3 years in a row. Our daughter slept so good in our bed that we thought she should have one too but we couldn't see spending that kind of money on a 2 year old. I found this mattress on walmart.com and thought I should give it a try. The best mattress ever!!!! The best price too!!! I love this mattress more than my own!! I now own two of the 8" mattresses and just ordered a 6" for my 18 month old son. If you are looking for a mattress that has support of a firm mattress but feels soft look no further. My whole family has never slept better.
This compares very well to the $2000+ mattresses we looked at. Can't feel my husband get in or out of bed at all; he used to wake up every time I got out of bed and now can't tell I'm not there. This equals no motion transference. We used this to replace our double pillowtop mattress. No more back pain or sleepless nights - even with my advanced arthritis. Other reviews mentioned a "smell" if you didn't let it air out first, so we unpacked it in an unused room and let it sit for about a week - no lingering smells.
the mattress we have been using is in such good shape after two years. it looks really nice with the platform bed we have. it has been 2 years since we are using it. i do like to mention that we are not that heavy by weight so i do not know much about deformation. but it has the perfect firmness as i wanted. For the price, it is really a great deal. we did look around but didnt find any thing for such a low price that walmart has. the ship to store feature is also available free of cost. for the initial 1 year we had it on the floor/ carpet ..still it worked great.
I bought a Full size 8" Spa Sensations and a Twin 8" Slumber 1 for my young boys just recently. I couldn't tell from reviews which might be firm or soft and now you will know. The Spa is firmer to the touch but you slowly sink in and it's very comfortable and supportive. A high-quality plush mattress pad was an excellent addition. By comparison, the Slumber 1 is noticeably softer and cushier to the touch but is still very supportive and comfortable. I like them both! Both had very little residual smell. Best value anywhere for sure.
I really like this mattress. But if you want to replace your old mattress don't think your just going to use this one as your replacement. I had to put my old mattress under this one to get the right feel. I first tried it on top of my box springs and it was Hard as a Rock and hurt my back. Then before I got rid of my old mattress I tried it with my old mattress underneath it and it made a World of Difference. Oh it take a little while for it to get to it's true size after you take it out of the package but way less than a half a day.
HI, MY HUSBAND AND I ENJOY THIS MATTRESS VERY MUCH. WE BOTH HAVE SLEEPING PROBLEMS, BACK PAIN AND WEIGHT ABOUT 26O EACH. WE GOT IT ABOUT A YEAR AGO. AND IT'S STILL AS GOOD AS THE FIRST DAY WE GOT IT. AND SENSE WE STARTED USING IT, OUR BACK PAIN IS GONE. NOW WE SLEEP LIKE TWO TEDDY BEARS. IT REALLY HAS BEEN WHORTH EVERY PENNY FOR CHANGE. YOU WONT REGREAT THIS PURCHASE.
I got this product for 2 reasons. Someone told me that this would work best for me because in 6'3" 330 lbs. And the price. It did have an odor that took 1 week to go away. Was sore for the first few weeks. Mostly my back. Never did memory foam before and that was probably the reason. Cannot move around as much. The wife and I are both starting to like it. It is very hot btw. I have to sleep with the fan on. Was thinking about adding a latex topper to help.
