I am a full time RVer. The grey water tank fills faster than the black water, so I got this for when the grey water tank overfills, preventing me from having to schlepp the entire 36 foot RV to the dump station constantly. It fits easily in the back of my car, is very sturdy and there is no smell when it is full, which I was concerned about. I got the camco swivel hose attachments to use with it, otherwise I would have to put the portable tank right up next to the RV, so I advise getting one of those since the built-in isnt very long. This is a GREAT investment that will get a LOT of use for a long time.
Good deal for the price, served it's purpose so far. I am concerned about the longevity of the plastic wheels considering most RV parks have gravel drives. Seems to do ok so far.
This item is a great price
In order to dump the tank into the RV dump you need to use an adapter to make a tight fit in the drain so no black water leaks out. But in order to make the connection I had to purchase another adapter. Not a big deal, just think that the adapter should come with it in order to use it correctly. Unfortunately I couldnt find the adapter on Walmart website. Found it amazon tho. As for the wheels, I bought this tank knowing I would be using my utility trailer. But in my opinion using the tank and the wheels as it is would take a great deal of effort to move. I actually bought a sewage pump to help out in this area. So other than the lack of an adapter to dump correctly this is a good way to dump our waste. Ive included a picture of the needed adapter.
This device is well designed and did what I needed it for, although on the first use I discovered to my sorrow the clamps holding the hoses to the tank had not been tightened.
Don't buy it. The tank hooked up perfect to my trailer. The size was fine. I got this one, rather than the larger one, because people pointed out that it was difficult to move around due to weight. The reason I would not recommend it, is because of the handle. Everything about this was perfect, except for the handle. It was too low for me. Spend the extra money and get one with a long handle and wheels in the front. It was really hard on my back, dragging it to the dump site. My mistake. I went cheap. Also, check the worm clamps for tightness. Mine fell off because it was loose. Fortunately it wasn't an issue at that moment, but at the wrong time, it would be.
Other than the fact it was damaged and I couldn't wait for a new one the product does its job. I probably will not order anything g online from Walmart again
Let's start with the good. For the price, it is ok. There is not much to invent, it is a tank to empty your waste tanks and transport it to dump station. Things to do BEFORE you use it. 1) Tighten up de hose. Seems to be a common problem. 2) Check the wheels. For the 35 gallon one, they are weak. 3) Plan ahead how you are going to transport. only a handle available, with no straps or anything to pull it with the truck. So, unless you are planning to pull it by hand, without lifting it too much, need some straps or something. After all these is either corrected or fixed, it is ok for the price.
This product was misleading ...it was Only the tank ...nothing else...now I have to buy another couple hundred dollars in parts to make it work .. disappointed
First, the hose end that attached to the rv, with a hose clamp came off, when it was filling.... yuck. black water everywhere. second it is higher than the drain on my RV, so the black water is in the hose, even after running grey water into it, and adding fresh to the tank... yuck. emptying the tank, does not fit well over a regular sewer vent. You need an adapter. Emptying the tank you need to keep on tipping it up to get all of it out. Makes a nasty job nastier. I have a farm, yuck does not normally bother me, until the hose end came off. It is being returned, changing the toilet out to a dry compost toilet.
