The actual tuner in a Snark clip-on worked pretty well with the SN models. But I returned mine for a refund for two reasons: 1. Snark changed the tuner display so that it no longer fills the screen as it approaches "in tune" status. I already have tuners with dancing lights that are difficult to follow on stage and under pressure to do it quickly. I thought Snark would be easier to see at a glance but they changed their design, actually made it worse. 2. The tuner itself is attached to the clip (and the instrument) only by a cheap plastic post that snaps into the tuner at one end and the clip at the other. The one I ordered had already started to crack apart the first time I used it. I did not assemble it -- it arrived already together. I could not imagine this thing lasting long, and once those plastic tabs break the tuner becomes useless. Reviewers I read noted the same problem and said they had to replace this tuner a couple of times a year due to this problem. I replaced the Snark with an Ernie Ball clip-on, which has a much better arrangement with the connection between the clip and tuner. This really is a shame, because the Snark is a fast and accurate tuner. But I want something I can buy once, not over and over again.
