The box for my bed frame wasnt delivered to the correct address. The chain in the picture belongs to a different address and the box is wet.
This bed is a temp bed for us until we move and buy a better quality bed frame. So we didn't really expect too much... 1. It does take some time to build (personally i did not receive all pieces so we improvised) 2. One of the boards arrived broken ( my bf just made something similar to replace it)( Too heavy too return this thing) 3. It does hold up once built. We have a queen size 13 in foam mattress weighing approx 130 lbs then myself at 145 and my bf at 210... We've had it like 3 weeks now and no breaking down. 4. Its not the best quality but like i mentioned earlier , we weren't expecting much. 5. The drawers do actually work...and hold a few items... So overall my suggestion is if you can build it and not have to rebuild it you'll be OK. You might want to pick this item up with someone else to not break your back. And lastly, don't have high expectations and you'll be happier! :)
The top boards do not line up the wood cracked in 4 places. The drawers lined up and move smoothly. That was a huge plus. The boards are not connected all to the base because any further tightening will cause more cracking. Waiting for a call back from the company but what are they going to do. Short of taking the whole thing apart. It took 2 plus hours of frustration. If everything would have lined up we would have been extremely happy.
It looks great but there are no raised edges like other platform beds out there, to keep the mattress from sliding off. The drawers are very flimsy there are only dowels and one screw supporting each of the four sides. We reinforced by adding more screws and using wood glue to make them sturdy. In the picture I show how the mattress slides off and the 2 black screws are the ones we used to reinforce the flimsy drawers.
I'm not satisfy with this product. The wood is chip everywhere. WHen I put the product together, it not stiff, it loose. I would rather go with IKEA product then Walmart. I learned my lesson....
Package came damage and super late and quality is not good as I thought it's just a disappointing experience overall
This item was a nightmare. Trying to put it together was frustrating. The boards broke or should I say crumbled, when trying to fasten them together. Half of the pre-drilled holes in the flat surface boards did not line up. So had to drill new holes to fasten them. Three days after completing construction the bottom support boards broke. (See 1st photo) Had to take it all apart & fix it with 2 boards that were only packing material by splicing them together (See 2ND photo) Used another board to splice 3rd broken board. Because all fasteners pulled out, had to screw them to reassemble bed. You cannot move this bed or it will all break apart. REALLY I am not joking. The person sleeping in this bed weighs 125lbs. We are so sorry that we purchased this item. Cannot return it because it would break into pieces. Wish we could get our money back.
Pretty much every corner of the plate visible under the mattress were cracked. Looks really bad because of that. I try to avoid turning on the lights because of it. I had it shipped to my appartment. Didn't see the damages until the foundation was completed. Could be blamed on the shipping. But still that shouldn't be my problem. Every corner had damage. Was to frustrated to return it. Just a poor quality and you just get what you pay for. Not much. Drawers are quite small. It comes with a touch-up pen witch is not a good sign but it really didn't do me any good because the damage was on the corners of all the 4 plates making the whole foundation for the mattress. Beside the visual quality of the material the bed is solid and pretty nice in that matter.
This bed broke only 1 week after putting it together. The wooden pieces to hold the mattress cracked on all three. The mattress fell right in. I am currently trying to see if a return is possible.
Don't buy this! The directions say may be different for different models which meant for us that pre drilled holes were NOT drilled. Nothing lined up correctly. There weren't any holes for the dowels to go into. It took 2 of us 3 hours to put this simple, small bed together. Oh and also the sides of the top boards were all chipped and ruined. Not happy with this product!
