I work at a large garden, and I swear I've been using this same sprayer for 10 years. Now the piston is leaking on the bottom and the bosses say it's cheaper to get a new one than fix the old one. Not quite true, but whatever. I will be diligent in asking for this very one, because all the other fancy ones get tossed aside, while I'm still pumping away with my 4 gallon piston Solo!

This is my second solo sprayer, the first lasted >12 years, and could have been repaired with a pump kit, but I decided what the heck, I'll just buy a new one. If this one lasts half as long, I will still be happy. I have used everything in the last one..... just be sure to flush it out after using harsh chemicals like bleach or deck sealers.
Good for my landscape work
Easy to use and very good materials
For years I have been using a smaller, hand pump sprayer for odd jobs around my house. These sprayers usually last about a year, and then I would have to throw them away! I saw this sprayer being used by a professional landscape company, and knew it was worth the purchase. I have been completely satisfied with the sprayer - large capacity hold tank, so easy to use with the side handle pump, backpack carry design and easy clean-up. I can get my whole house and my three acres done with a single fill! Excellent purchase and I highly recommend it!

solo brand is most likely the best back pack sprayer on the market. excellent for spraying insecticides and herbicides. have owned one for well over 20 years.(still have it) clean it well after use and it should last a long time.
This is to large and heavy for anyone to use that is not buff. There were two missing pieces and the box in came in was torn through. The item itself was very obviously a display item for it was full of dust and not in original package.
Whole this is a long-proven brand, the pressure cylinder inside the tank popped off after about 5 initial pumps. Sort of like a water rocket that smashed the filter at the top of the tank as it “lifted off”. Apparently a assembly problem and there is no way to reattach the cylinder. Wonder if the third party seller (zorro ) gets factory seconds.
