I have had this little gem over three years and have taken thousands of stills and a good bit of video with it. I carry it in the pocket of my jeans and I am sometimes taking 300 photos a day... it has never failed to please me. The case is now very worn looking, but it's like a old pair of shoes - worn in and very comfortable. I have paid ten times the price for other Sony products and not gotten this much true value.
I sell a lot on ebay so I need a camera that is dependable and that provides crystal-clear images. This one definitely fills the bill. I definitely would recommend.
the Sony Megapixels and 8x optical zoom camera records exactly what we need at the county jail. We love it!
It took me a while to figure out how to shoot panoramic photos. But once I did, no one could stop me. I took some of the most beautiful scenic shots ever....all up in Canada, some on the water, and some just of the mountains. Best to have a friend who is familiar with shooting panoramic to get some start-up tutoring!! But that's just me. At 71 years young, I think I am doing just fine as a photographer, albeit novice, but everyone seems to like my photos!!!
For the price($100), this small camera does everything well. I have had the camera for about 2 months now and have no complaints so far.
i bought this camera to replace my original DC-W560 that disappered from our car I love the picture quality it takes and the color balance is awesome. All in all I highly recommend this camera if you are in the market to buy one.
This camera is so cool it takes a lot of awesome pictures, selfies, and videos. I love this camera and i would definitely recommend this product to everyone. Plus it comes in one of my favorite colors (which is black).
Been looking to replace an older digital point and shoot camera. The Sony W830 optical zoom is packed with features. It is so tiny you can easily carry this in you pocket, it's smaller than most cell phones. Thought this feature was going to be it's down fall, however that is not the case. So far this camera has performed like a little dynamo. Got to love that! This is my first Sony point and shoot. So far so good!
so smart this little camera ! i do love using it, there are tons of action's i still have not used, im kinda stuck on "easy shot" the camera does all the work for you ! i also live the video part, easy to read, the only thing im not crazy about is the very very short cord from your computer to the camera to up load...its way short..thats why i gave 4 stars, i would even purchase one, but had no luck on doing so...
Purchased this product and very disappointed. The charging port is not a standard USB, but a Sony specific one. The battery life is less than a day even when not being used, every time I went to take a picture the camera was dead after charging all night. Lost my original charger and purchased a replacement cord, which still will not charge the camera. When the camera did work, the picture quality is great if you press the shutter button JUUUUUST right. I missed at least 100 photos of my child due to the issues with how the shutter was pushed. It would either take too long to take the shot or the picture would just be blurry. I have a Sony Zeiss camcorder and it has the same issues (not user friendly, replacement chargers are costly, quality of video/images sub-par)! Anyway, the biggest issue is I paid about $100 from WalMart to get this camera, but it is already not working and the most disappointing part is the missed memories of my child growing up due to the poor quality of the photos, the type of the button/shutter operation, charger port being inconvenient in having to purchase extra if lost (cost me $10 just for the charger cord not even the connector to the wall). Now, I'll be purchasing a new battery to see if that's the problem. These Sony cameras/camcorders are not worth the trouble. I bought a Kodak camera on clearance from WalMart that was WAY better than this Sony.
