Same day pick up was great. I didn't have to hunt for what I wanted. I don't know how well the recorder works yet. I can let you know when I come back from Waverly Hills Sanitorium and listen for bumps and voices.
I bought the recorder for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves it! He uses it for business as well as personal. He is extremely happy with it! The shippiing time was also perfect!
I needed something to help me remember everyday things and this does it. There's another item that costs $101 and it's just like what I bought for the $59 price tag. It might have small lettering and numbers, but it records the information and it really does help me. For someone on a budget, looking for a recorder that can record things with lifelike sounds and in different scenarios, this is what I would get.
I bought this Sony voice-activated recorder for college class lectures and exam reviews. After reading the other product reviews on this item, I was sold. I have no regrets. The quality of sound and value for the dollar amount are both outstanding! I definitely reccommend :)
I was nervous about using a digital recorder...I was afraid I wouldn't be able to figure out how to make it work, I was extremely surprised at how simple it was right out of the box. It does everything all the reviews say it does and it does it with ease. I would highly recommend this to a friend and anyone who wants to have a digital recorder do everything that it says it can and actually figure it out with ease!!!
I bought two of these recorders. One is for my son who is in Collage. He was very pleased as it is quiet to operate and starts to record when his Professors speak. The second one I bought is worth it's weight in gold. I gave it to my 88 year old Mother. She doesn't like any tech equipment but is using the recorder because all she has to do is push a button. She is using it to record family history as she can no longer write for any lenght of time. I am going to get the micro sd card so it will store 500 hours. Best purchase ever. My Mother doesn't need to do anything but push a button and talk. She is using this recorder without the fear older people sometimes have that anything technical is too hard to use.
I've owned this digital recorder for about a month and I am impressed. I did not expect the built in mic to be this good. Prior to purchase, I thought I would need an external mic to make good quality recordings of conversations. The built in mic produces respectable recordings even when the recorder is concealed. I was please to discover that the recorder did not require any special computer drivers. I attached the recorder to my computer with the supplied USB cable and my computer detected it with no problem. When connected to my computer it functions like a USB storage drive. The included software is somewhat useful but is not really needed. I think that this may be the best digital voice recorder available at the price point of about $60. For my needs, I will never need a recorder better than this one.
This recorder was smaller than I initially had an idea of size. I am used to more clunky sizes and this almost fits in the palm of my hand. This was a gift to my daughter so that she and her daughter could practice reading and listening to each other. So far it is working out great. My daughter is starting her college career in a few months so we have to see how this performs recording lectures and any study group sessions that are necessary. We didn't give it five stars because my daughter just started using it so we have to wait and see how the lecture recording goes. Also, my Walmart didn't give a premium packaged product. When I got it, the packaging was dinged and dented. The recorder appeared perfectly okay but when I give a gift that has some scrunched packaging, I get nervous about the whole affair.
I was looking for a recorder that would pick up recordings well while cutting down on background noise. This unit does just that and is easy to use. Would like to have it be more compatible with Dragon Speak Home. You have to transfer to the program as if you were speaking live. The transfer software does not work as well as the instuctions would indicate. Overall, very good, moderately priced prduct.
The main reason for choosing this Sony recorder was that you could download the recordings to my computer. I would recommend this recorder. It's very user friendly. The only negative thing I would say is that if you are recording a lecture, you need to be sitting close to the person lecturing.
