I tried to transfer music to my psp without the software and thought that I had done a pretty good job until I tried to play back my content. This was recommended to me and I am so glad that I bought it. It is wonderful to have a program that converts files to the neccessary format for me. I select the wmv files that I like from my computer and they are automatically converted to mp3. Don't ask me how, because I obviously don't know. Luckily this program does.
This product does not come with any instructions, so you need to be quite proficient at your computer and electronics. My son was unable to do this on his own, which caused some frustration. Be ready to help your kids if you buy them this product. It does have an 800 number to call for technical support. We did not use this as we did finally figure it out. Not a plug-and-play, but does a good job once mastered.
I second the first comment. There aren't any instructions. I'm normally a computer whiz but not this time. We couldn't get this darn thing to work at all on the computer. I didn't bother calling any number either. My son and I were both disappointed.
