Very happy with the looks but be aware lots of parts and time consuming to put together. Fortunately my husband likes doing it. We got the matching dresser and nightstand...looks good.
What a great product to make an average bed look expensive. I couldn't believe how much it changed the whole look to my bed. It wasn't as easy to build as I thought but if you lay out all the parts on the floor as in the photo it makes it easier. And also lay them out upside down looking at the back as you begin to assemble. I had heard that people added some extra support boards to strengthen it. I applied Liquid Nails to all joints as I assembled them. The headboard is extremely strong and had no problem with it be flimsy. Great product for such a low price. Would have done it years ago if I knew it would look this great.
I love this headboard. It's beautiful and makes a nice addition to my daughter's bedroom. It a good value for the money and very solid and heavy. I can't answer for putting it together because I had someone do it for me because I'm not very handy. It did arrive with a hole in the packaging, but it was packed so well that there was no harm to the headboard.
It was packaged perfectly. I only recommend adding wood glue to the joints and using 5/16” stainless hardware to the bed. Best headboard for the money! Great product!
Ordered this for my son's full size bed. My hubby put it together in about an hour but did note that there were “a hundred screws!” It connected easily to the steel bed frame and looks fantastic! Solid, simple design and just what I wanted.
There was a very visible ding on this black headboard, which is why they give you a black touch up marker. The ding is small so we will just use the touch up marker. The bed size we brought this headboard for is a full size. When we put it all together piece q was showing the brown colored wood instead of black so I called the manufacturer and they said this particular headboard is meant to go with a wood frame not a metal one which is why the piece is showing. I told her I don't remember reading anything about this in the description I read before I purchased the item. She said they would look into adding something about this ithe detail section. So, if you have a metal bed frame be aware that the lower piece q will show and like us we are keeping the headboard so we will paint the piece black. It's a smaller piece so should not be a big deal but still kind off inconvenient. Overall a nice looking headboard for the money. It also does not come with bolts needed to attach the headboard to the metal frame so you will need to purchase those.
I'm going to give my honest review on this headboard. Once it's put together it doesn't look too bad, and it is very heavy. We haven't hooked it to our bed yet because it did not come with the needed bolt, nuts and washers to attach it to the bed frame. So I cannot attest to the durability or how long it's going to last. I'm just giving my review of unboxing and putting it together. Just to let you know the directions might be a little confusing as the boards are marked with the wrong letters and or numbers. The trim that goes across the top of the bed was seriously warped, but screwing it down onto place seemed to have straightened it out. I do hope that the headboard lasts sometime although one piece does have two pretty big size bubbles in it. I'm hoping that it doesn't eventually peel. For the price paid it is a good value, and I would recommend buying the headboard. It comes packed extremely well and tight, so it's very hard to get out of the box. I probably would have rated this headboard to five Star if the directions matched up with the letters and numberings on the pieces. I also would have given it five stars if it had not the two bubbles in it and the main trim across the top wasn't warped.
The headboard looks great. It is attached to a metal bed frame. Unfortunately, the headboard does not come with the bolts that you will need to attach it. My husband put together the headboard. It took him about 1 1/2 hours. It wasn't hard to put together, but if you try to rush it and not read the directions carefully enough, you could have problems. The pictures on the assembly instructions are not very easy to follow. Also, the final pieces that you attach are supposed to be screwed in, but the holes are barely noticeable on the wood. The assembly instructions tell you not to use a drill.... and you really do not need one... I can see where someone might try to use a drill and completely ruin the headboard. So believe them when they say "no drill." The headboard looks great. It is not real sturdy, but we are using it in a guest bedroom so it should be fine.
It is a affordable nice-looking headboard. But I'm taking off stars as the headboard does not fit our frame. The beam across the bottom legs is in the way for mounting. We bought the King version, and as others have said, the assembly takes quite a while as the instructions are not intuitive. We had problems with the beam across the legs as the holes to attach to a frame are not even in the proper height or placement . There were no alternative methods presented in the instructions on how to attach it (without the beam?) We have the proper hardware for headboards mounted on the frame, but the headboards beam is in the way. Right now we have it against the wall with the frame against the headboard.
Need better instructions to put headboard together. Pieces not labeled so had to try and look at picture to make sure getting it together right. There was no bolts to hook headboard to frame. On website said it was a bookcase headboard but wasn't just plain. Took to long to put together.
