Incredible this topper make you feel slepping in the clouds, since I have it no more back problems, I even have problem getting on time to my job, this thing make you sleep like a baby and you don't hear you alarm clock.
I have used several different mattress toppers but this one is the best I've tried. Unlike standard memory foams that start out fairly hard then soften with body heat, this topper is soft from the moment you lay on it. It doesn't retain your body heat either, making it cooler to sleep on. The best thing is the gel foam regains it's shape faster than standard memory foams, so there's no big dip in the middle that makes it difficult to turn over or feels like you are climbing out of a ditch when you want to get up. This topper is 3 full inches of gel foam too. I found several other stores advertizing a 3 inch gel foam when they actually were 1 inch of gel foam and 2 inches of memory foam. Be sure to check the color before you buy one (gel foam will be blue/green).
Our son was born with developmental disabilities and is now confined to a wheelchair at the age of 28 due to a spinal cord disease. The bed at his group home was sooo hard; we decided to try this topper to enhance his comfort. Although his speech is very limited, he makes it clear that his bed is now much more comfortable and he's sleeping much better too.
This was a lot of money for me to spend, but I really needed a solution to my back problems, and a 6 year old inexpensive mattress. OMG! This is like sleeping in heaven! It is temperature-sensitive and is quite firm when I first lie down on it. But within 45 sec or so my body is magically cradled in a little pocket just made for me! It provides plenty of support for my big butt, while just feeling perfect. If you are considering the purchase, do it. You won't be sorry! The topper arrives hermetically sealed, folded in half and rolled up. Just unroll it and let it expand. HINT: It comes with a cover that unzips on 3 sides. Trust me, zip it all the way up and put it on the topper while it is still on the floor~~it just goes over it like a fitted sheet. In spite of being just a little unwieldly, it was much easier to woman-handle onto the mattress than I had anticipated. Then.....ENJOY! I recommend a pillow of the same material. Super!
I have Arthritis & was unable to sleep as hip & back pain kept me awake. This matress topper is fabulous as I am now able sleep through the night. I have recommended this to friends & family. I am also buying one for my daughter's home as a gift.
Well Jiggle my Britches..... darn i'm glad i didn't waste my money buying an expensive bed. I simply bought a queen sixz mattress in a box , that was bout 185, not to shabby . very smart an savvy! Then bought a Slumber 1 bed frame for a C Note approx,,,then to top it off a 3inch gelly foamy topper...i probably only needed a 2inch since i only hit the scales at the gym at about a buk 60 give or take... But i indulged in 3inches, way worth it, Sleep is just not the same, woo wee, now that's comfort , without taxin my checkin account/ or even bustin in to me savings!!! (((Momma sais there be nights like this , there be nights like sleepin like an angel mamma said!)))
We bought an expensive Sterns and Foster several months ago. As time went on we decided it was not working - too firm, but trial period was over. After months of interrupted sleep and waking up sore we decided to "bite the bullet" and get another mattress. After doing research we decided to try a memory foam topper. Based on the reviews and research we settled on the 3" Southern Enterpirse Blissful Rest. We were so anxious to try it after it arrived (before expected - which was a surprise) we didn't let it air out. We noticed the smell but it was not offensive and in two weeks the smell was totally dissipated. My husband was able to sleep the first night without waking up at all...the first time that has happened in years. I was able to sleep better, but I'm a light sleeper and have two herniated discs. It was a definite improvement though. We've been using it for 20 days and our quality of sleep had improved. My husband thinks it's fantastic. We love it so much we got one for our daughter. Our business is equine related and after a long day of riding young horses and doing chores it's wonderful to be able to sleep. Old injuries don't wake us up as often as they used to.
I have only slept on this topper for a week, so I'm not sure how long it will last. However, I have immediately went from feeling like I was in a street fight (sore neck, shoulders, & back) to waking up feeling refreshed & well rested. I am now getting a good night's sleep! I can't believe how much of a difference this topper makes for me. I was so skeptical, at first. In my opinion, the purchase was well worth it. I think it may also depend on a person's physical size. It took less than 30 minutes to get this thing out of the box and onto my bed without any assistance. Be careful not to rip the foam, read the instructions first. The dye in the foam creates a mild odor but goes away after putting fresh sheets on the bed.
Before purchasing I read many reviews on gel foam mattress toppers. All of the product specifications state that you need to let it air out for a day or two before use to eliminate the smell. No way! I let mine air out for 2 days, then I positioned a fan to blow on it for a day, then I hung it outside over several clothes lines. I gave up on trying to get rid of the smell and I've been using it for several weeks now. The good part is that I find this topper to be extremely comfortable. I haven't slept so well in years. So, it's a great buy if you don't mind the smell. Hopefully, in time, the smell will dissipate.
Picked up from store got it home opened it and put it on the bed. The Gel is not as shown in picture very spaced out and not constant in the topper. This leads the bed to sleep hot like a normal memory foam topper.
