So far I couldn't be happier. I did the heater core, evaporator, and all my coolant hoses at the same time, [...] In my experience with aftermarket heater cores and evaps you have to tweak the tubes sometimes to get them to fit, But not in the this case. It fit perfectly.
Thought I would try and install it on my 98 Dodge ram 1500 myself because the garage wanted $ 600 to do it. Looked it up on You tube.
The rotating pipes made it able to be installed without removing the heater box on the very difficult Dodge Ram. Saved hours of work. Start to finish was under 3 hours.
Great to have heat again, changing it out wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done but worth the work & saved $960.00 that the dodge place wanted to change it.
Have NO complaints about the heater core, but pulling the dashboard back resulted in my entire dash crumbling (typical dodge). Was not hard to replace, but took my time doing it.
I replaced my heater core while installing a new Evaporator Core. I suggest replacing them both at the same time since you don't want to do this job twice. It took me about 7 hours total.
Difficult, time consuming job. Installing the heater core through the firewall was the hardest part, but it did go through by removing some of the sound insulation from the inside of firewall. Part is installed and no leaks. I was concerned during installation that I was using too much pressure to get it into position, but it seems to have survived intact. Along with new heater hoses, the heat inside the cab has greatly improved also. Thank you
Swivel lines made installation a breeze. Hardest part was getting the old one out and then buttoning up the heater box and dash. Just installed it so still have a long way to go before I can rate the quality but so far no leaks and heat works again. Getting ready for winter.
was a perfect match & the swivel lines made it much easier to install. the only think i didn't like is it's alumunim so it doesn't heat as good as the factory heater core. if you can afford it buy the copper or heater core.
It would be great if the core was not leaking water in my floor. I am very upset, took whole day to change out, not I have to do it again, are you going to pay for my time and aggravation as well as replacement, and preferably not a bad one.
