I used this on my virgin dark blonde hair and it took really well. I used Midnight Ruby without lightening my hair first. It is very pigmented though so use your gloves. You going to want to pick up extra gloves. it stained my skin, my tub my walls everything it touched. I used Clorox toilet cleaner with bleach to remove the stains from my bathroom and they just melted off with no scrubbing. I also used Dollar General disinfecting wipes to get it off my skin before rinsing my hair out and it all came off. If you wait until after you have rinsed your hair or tried to wash the stain off your skin it wont come off for a few days. I have included my before color and after colored hair in the pics below. I also included a before I started cleaning the tub and after I started to clean the tub pics.
I was hesitant buying drug store color, Ive been buying from a professional beauty store. Both promised to be vibrant bold colors. Beauty store dye was expensive and it left my hair patchy, dull color. So I decided to give Splat a go. To my surprise the consistency was not watery, it was easy to squeeze out of the bottle and didnt run everywhere. I did exactly as the box instructed. Saturated my hair and waited an hour to rinse. Barely any color came off my hair during the rinsing and double shampoo that I did to prevent bleeding. My hair is not bleached, I had been lighting my hair in the sun and using light golden blonde in my hair for years but it was no where near platinum blonde that I would need to get neon vibrant pink. After my hair was done drying I was so surprised with the outcome! Perfectly bright pink hair with no damage from bleach! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for great color. I use the Midnight Magenta and its a wonderful shade of vivid bright pink.
Works great in combination with midnight ruby and violet colors for a sunset look.
Love this color !! Love have used it for years only red I use I get so many compliments and. It! I do add a little extra to Lyft it of developer 40 to the bottle like 3 cap full I pour a little out and then add! Just a tip you can get a huge bottle on that huge website everyone goes to for less then 10..
Really easy to use. Need about two boxes for shoulder chest length hair and three for bum length hair.
I used this in combination with two other splat colors to get my look. Easy to use. Be careful though about staining, the colors are intense.
I love the color and that it's lasting. But it is really difficult to take off from surfaces where it lands
5 stars for longevity…. I’ve had the Jade in for a month and it still hasn’t faded. This pic is 3 weeks after dying, no touch ups or anything. I’m almost starting to get concerned. Gorgeous color though!!! -1 star because it stains your hands for several washes after, and I look like a zombie.
I love how vibrant this was on blonde hair, I did a halo dye and it's already fading after approximately one month so great if you are looking for semi permanent
Dye came quite liquid like so watery that it didn't take the color even if I bleached my hair three days ago. I often buy this brand bc it's always thick and rich in color that I'm just surprised. I'm thinking it could have been expired or so.
