I have an SU-4010 that has a blue tank. I have had it over a year and use it mostly in the winter months. I have only cleaned it once or twice and not because it was dirty. I use only Reverse Osmosis water in it and have never had to replace the filter. I also have it on a timer which turns it on at midnight and off at 6 AM. In the morning when I get up there is still an inch or two of water in the tank. I have only one little problem and it is all my fault. Sometimes the water filler cap is difficult to remove, probably because I put it on too tight. I am now putting the cap on quite easy and check it to make sure it is not leaking. Then the next morning it is much easier to remove.
SPT humidifiers are the easiest to clean if need to at all... because it comes with a small brush to lightly wipe the heating pad site...plus the warm mist keeps it clean....the dual mist is a great idea..the humidifier is easy to fill...I really like the ion filters..( I quit buying those disgusting Humidifiers with filters)..this ion type filter is a great idea.nothing to do with them and you change them once per year....I hear the customer service is very helpful....finally..a one year warranty...marvelous!
This humidifier puts plenty of moisture into the room. When the humidistat is set to MAX, it easily empties the tank overnight.
I can breathe again. Recently as ive gotten older i suffer from allergies etc. With the help of this machine i can finally breathe again!
This is a great machine. Works great and its very quiet
I love how quiet it is and how the water tank lasts all night. Would have rated 5 stars if it were easy to fill the water tank, the mist projected higher, and if the warm setting was actually warm mist. Overall I still like it. Make sure you read the owner's manual first.
Does the machine provide good mist, yes. But it is not the best design. The water reservoir tank sits down in the base unit. When you try to refill, water drips when you remove the reservoir tank from the base. You must turn the tank upside down to fill it and of course when you turn it back over to sit on the water tank it drips. Not an issue in the kitchen where you can easily clean up, but not ideal for a bedroom with a nice wood dresser.
This humidifier works great but it doesn't cover nearly the area that it states it does. Not sure that I would have spent this much for a product that doesn't cover the room I needed it for.
