This lotion is my absolute favorite. I've been using it for years and it is the best thing to keep my skin hydrated without an obnoxious smell or breaking me out. I've been having a hard time finding it lately in my local stores. Please don't discontinue this lotion!!! I don't know what I would do without it.
As a guy, I use this and it doesnt smell all flowery and fragrent. Not a bad smell for guys. It works great on my hands, and not to greasy either. Takes a small amount to go far.
When I saw that this product had a lower rating I was shocked. My skin is very, very sensitive to pretty much anything, so I decided to give this deep lotion a try. I really don't ever use lotion either, but I knew my skin needed something. Within two days,, my little red bumpy rash that covered my legs were gone. This was only the beginning of my St. Ives obsession. I have not used any other lotion because I truly believe this is the best. Now that I use all of St Ives products, I rarely HAVE to use the lotion at all, but I have gotten to the point where I WANT to use it. I highly recommend this product to anyone- especially those with naturally sensitive skin like mine!
I would recommend this product, but not to be purchased at Walmart. The item used to be available to purchase on-site, however now must be bought online and then a trip made to store to pick up. If I can locate at another outlet I will purchase there in the future.
I have used this product a while and noticed that the last time I bought this lotion it was super thin. Luckily I had my previous bottle and read the ingredients and sure enough, they changed it. Words for St. Ives...don't change lotion to make it THINNER. It doesn't work as well.
A friend visited from Milwaukee in 1988 and mistakenly left her container of St. Ives Intensive Healing lotion at my home. I tried it on my winter chapped legs and was amazed at how quickly my dry flaky skin became soft and pliable. I was sold and became a dyed in the wool user until just recently--the "NEW" intensive healing just doesn't have the viscous moisturizing capability of the "original" formula. I'm off to the drug store to search for a replacement brand. Sorry St. Ives, you've lost a long term previously happy customer.
I have used Intensive Healing Body Lotion for years and loved it. Recently I found it had been changed, but thought, it is St. Ives, I am sure it will still be great, but I was wrong. Now it feels sticky until it dries, then it feels like there is a coating on my skin and my skin feels dry like I desperately need some lotion. I feel like it doesn't moisturize at all. A long time ago I used the unscented Collagen Elastin, then it was changed and became highly scented, so I couldn't use it. All the other St. Ives lotions are highly scented too, except Intensive Healing so I tried it and was so very pleased by it I have used nothing else ever since. I have even liked the previous changes that were made to it, until this change in 2016 which ruined the product for me. I am very saddened by that. I have used St. Ives exclusively for over 30 years, for my hands, body and face. It is all I have used and credit it for my soft skin and lack of wrinkles. Now that it has been changed to this stuff that doesn't work and makes my skin feel dry, I will have to change brands and that is very upsetting. Even if I could handle the smell of the varieties of St. Ives that are highly scented, they all say "New" on them just like the Intensive Healing does, so I suspect they have all been switched to this new formula which means I will have to give up my beloved St. Ives and move on to some other brand. Thank you St. Ives for all the years you provided me with great lotion, I wish it would have continued to be a lotion I would love and use so I could continue to be your customer, but this latest change in formula chased me away. I will keep checking to see if the formula changes back, if it does, I will be back as a customer, but I can't be one for this current formula. Please bring back the formula that was used before the change of 2016, it was fantastic.
I had love love love and used the original or "old" St. Ives Intensive Healing lotion for years til now they produce "New" one same ingredients and label but can tell the scent of lotion is stronger which I dont like cuz I'm sensitive to smell and the lotion itself is more watery and not as thick as the original not as soothing.
I have been using St. Ives Intensive Healing for years now and loved it because of how great it worked on very dry skin. this is no longer the case. You're lotion no longer works as well as it once did. I have noticed over the past few years/months that your lotion keeps saying "new" on it. I thought that it was simply that you have changed the label and nothing more. After looking into it further I found that you have taken out many ingredients that were once in your lotion. Hence the "new" on the label. I am very saddened by this because I loved your product and was a loyal consumer and now I am forced to look elsewhere i.e a different company, to find something that works.
This new formula is awful! The old formula was the only lotion I would used. It was hypoallergenic, unscented and not greasy! The new one has a scent to it and feels greasy and the feeling doesn't go away. Why would you change something that was perfect. Please bring the old formula back!
