I used to use this St.ives Vitamin E for years and this time I found that they changed it bigger size. BUT IT WAS HORRIBLE.( WORSE QUALITY, STINKY SMELL, GREASY!!) I usually don't write review but I am so DISAPPOINTED about this VITAMIN E) PLEASE GO BACK TO PREVIOUS ONE!
I have been a loyal user of St. Ives Hydrating Vitamin E Moisturizer for years. I remember the day that I could not find it in the stores only to later discover that you had changed the container. Little did I know that you had, for some inexplicable reason, changed the formula as well. I have found that the new formula leaves my skin drier than it was before I used it. Now I find myself searching the Internet for bottles of the old formula rather than buy the new or any other product. I really don't want to change (I receive so many complements about my soft and clear skin) but you provide me with no other alternative. It seems that this may be goodbye!
I'm with everyone else. I have been using the Vitamin E formula since back when it was the "Vitamin A&E" formula. I was not thrilled when the vitamin A was dropped but still found it to be better than anything else on the market. But this new formula? Please! It is like smearing on Vaseline. And the new scent? Well, being a guy, I now smell like a woman - not good. No offense ladies - it's just that the old formula had a more neutral scent. As someone else suggested, brand this new formula differently and bring back the old formula. If Coca Cola did it, you can, too.
I scanned your other reviews and have to agree with the people that ask to bring back the old formula. Don't really want to tell my age but I have owned a tanning salon for 13 years and sell a lot of varieous moisturizing lotions. But I have tried them all, could never find anything that was a effective as St Ives Vitamin E so I go to the local drug store and buy it there. The new lotoion is to thick and your skin does not absorb it well. It feels heavy and litle greasy. Interesting I have the bottle setting next to me and just noticed the label Fast Absorbing and Non Greasy. I don't agree. As everyone asked bring back the old formula. REMEMBER WHAT COKE A COLA TRIED YEARS AGO.
I've been using St. Ives Vitamin E for years. This "new and improved" formula is AWFUL and nothing like the old formula. It should be labeled "completely different" formula. The old formula was light and easily absorbed, with a light scent. I used this lotion on a daily basis, on my entire body, and I loved it. The new formula, however, is heavy and greasy - it does not absorb. Further, the new formula stinks and the scent is too strong. PLEASE bring back the old formula or change the name, St. Ives. It seems as though when you tested this "improved" formula you failed to test it on those who use it regularly. Completely disappointed.
I just purchased your NEW FORMULA of vit E. It is awful. It has fragrance in it and it is greasy. I have used your original formula for years, it has kept my skin young looking and I am over 70 yrs. I can not tolerate any perfumes and this makes me sick to use on my face. Whatever possessed you to CHANGE A GOOD PRODUCT. I will have to look for a new lotion after all these yars.
I've used the Vitamin E lotion for more than two decades... the newest smell of it... YUCK!!! Change it back or I will need to find a new replacement... it wasn't broken... don't fix it!! Your loyal client base loves what made you our tried and true!
You need to fire your research analysts. I have been using your vitamin E lotion for 20 plus years and loved it. Your new formula is thick, greasy, and smells like some of my wifes perfume. Sometimes new and improved is not always better. Do you have any of the old formula you could ship me or at least send me the old formula and I will have it made locally.
I have been using St. Ives for years, specifically the vitamin E lotion. However the new formula has a perfume odor that not only gives me a headache but isn't appropriate for my husband. It feels thin and doesn't provide the same level of moisture for my skin. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the old formula will be re-introduced...until that time, I'm on the hunt for another option.
For many years I have only purchased St. Ives Vitamin E lotion. The reason I have purchased it for so long is because it did not have a fragrance and did not leave my hands greasy. I am very disappointed with this new formula because it is now scented and actually feels like my hands are dryer after using it. It is so terrible and much different that I had expected so now I will have to look for a new brand to buy.
