I was on the market looking for safes to hold my firearms, and a friend of mine found this deal. He told me Stack-On is a very reputable safe manufacturer for holding firearms. One of the high points is that it is California DOJ approved as a firearm safety device. The safe provides foam padding to place on the shelf and bottom of the safe, four 2" mounting screws with countersinks, and 2 AA batteries for the electronic keypad. I suggest you get this safe if you want a good safe to hold a couple of firearms or your valuable goods, but it is NOT fire or water proof.
I needed the safe to store my weapons. its big spacious, easy to set up, what more could one ask for. it's not rated 4 fire or water but if you need a simple and secure storage medium this safe is for you
Fits my needs. Holds 2 handguns easily, plus several boxes of ammo. Secured to wood floor, easy install. Arrived 3 days after I ordered it and on a Saturday. Would not hesitate to purchase this product again.
This is the first safe that I have ever bought. I did a lot of research before the purchase as well. My goal was to find something that was under $100, that was big enough to hold 2+ handguns with ammo, included a padded interior and shelf, and was dependable. I believe I have done just that with this safe! I have had it for about 1 week with absolutely no problems. Everything worked on the first attempt, with no hassle. The door and locking mechanism open smoothly every time. The only thing that i didn't like 100% was that the front face plate, because it was plastic. I knew that whenever I bought it, and I am fine with it, but if it was a metal, or something more solid feeling, I would have given it 5 stars. Overall, I love the safe. It is able to be accessed quickly, you can turn off the beeps to the keypad, you are provided with 2 keys, and all of the warranty and replacement key information. I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone. I attached a photo of the safe for a size comparison. I hope this review was helpful!
I have only had this safe for a couple of weeks. It's reasonably priced for the size in comparison with other similar products out there. Easy to assemble & program. The only con is the handle & key pad face is plastic which may last, but would have preferred some thing stronger. So far so good!
bought this safe for handgun safety, with 2 young grandchildren in house a lot. This seems to work well, and can be opened in the dark with combination, if needed.
Rock solid cabinet but why do they stop short and use plastic lock lever and front panel. Simply using metal would turn this from a deterrent to an actual secure safe. Follow through on the quality....
Safe meets my need for a safe strage space for several handguns & some other small valuables. It has a shelf so the space is adequate. The push button lock is a great feature, the safe can be opened quickly. Also it is not too heavy and can easily be relocated but it also has a feature of being able to be bolted to the floor.
the safe purchased from wal-mart was an excellent buy, just what I needed to safe keep valuable items, light enought to be mounted in the closet on the shelf.I like how easy it is to set up, all in all a good safe to purchase for the price.
First off let me say that I have owned this safe for more than 7 years without an issue. I keep my passport, two guns & rare coins in mine. I've never had a problem but I've always been disappointed with the plastic front panel. Last year I searched youtube & there are several videos that show you how to pick the override lock on this model. I was blown away how fast someone could open this safe with a PAPERCLIP!
