[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been carrying two tape measures for many years. One is a metric and the other is the imperial scale. This tape measure is the best of both! I know that most countries of the world use the metric scale, and just about anything ordered from the internet has a metric sizing listed. This is perfect for all situations. It is built like the Stanley tapes we all know and love.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stanley Powerlock 8m/26' Tape Measure is incredible. This tape measure has a 10 foot blade reach, and the blade life last twice as long as any other tape measure that I have purchased. Let me start by saying that I am always working on a project either at home or at work and a tape measure is very important to everything that I do. I have found with other measures, that they fade or tear with frequent use. This tape measure is completely different. The Powerlock Tape Measure is very durable (I dropped it a million times), and very exact. I found it to be easy to use, easy to transport, and very high quality. You are going to pay a little more than you would with some of the other tape measures but they won't last as long or do the job near as well. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anyone needing a high quality tape measure that is built to last.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] STANLEY POWERLOCK 26' TAPE MEASURE Accuracy: The Tape Seems Dead on at 6 inches whether measures outside or inside the end give seems right on. Durability Performed a few drop tests and tape held up fine the tape seems well made, although if you worked in high locations, I would go for a rubber molded FATMAX over the classic. Clip Design: The classic clip is great unlike others that hold just a little sloppy. Visibility Stanley standard black markings on yellow blade. It does lack a heavy Protective layer on the first 6 inches of the tape, which gets the most wear and tear. Standout and Throw Standout stated by Stanley is at 10 feet, my personal test could not get more than 7 feet 8 inches of Standout. May not be what they state but still better than most tapes out their including my old 35 feet Stanley which when new could do just past 10 feet. The Throw is about 6 feet 6 inches. Lock: The lock works well and is easy to use with one hand operation. Overall, a good solid tape, some rough carpenters would probably prefer a wider FATMAX tape with more fall protection.

I love the 26' length because it means that i can measure big wider areas and items. I can actugo on the roof and take better measurements to know exactly how many lights im going to need to decorate for Christmas. This tape is easy to use and winds up immediately so your projects are done efficiently.

Its durable and very easy to use and store. Its made with great quality so itll definitely hold up for any job. The measurements are precise.

It glides in and out with ease and doesn't get stuck like some can. I love the locking mechanism that allows it to stay in place while you measure. It also doesn't fall floppy which we all know and hate. This is one great, sturdy tape measure!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a cheap reliable tape measure for doing wood working at home. It does not have a far reach out. but the tape blade is very flexible and not wide. I like the fact that is has measurement in both SAE and Metric. It fell off the work bench a few times and did not break, just a few minor scratches. If you don't need a tape measure with a far reach out, then I would recommend the Stanley PowerLock.
My husband and I do alot of home improvements around our home and also my husband uses alot of tools at work as well. One of the main tools he uses is a tape measure for many different projects so it needs to be accurate as well as reads in centimeters as wells as inches. I like the fact that the tape measue is small enough to fit in a tool belt or pocket. It has a lock on it to keep in place as your measuring and snaps back in place when released .However if the tape measure is dropped too many times the lock gets jams and will not release the tape measure back into place and you manually have to feed it back into place, also the metal. isn't very thick so the tape measure being metal it cracks if it takes on too much battle scars. My husband has only had the tape measure a few months and has had to replace it unfortunately.
I received this tape measure a few years ago; it had a nice heft and the lock held fine in the times I was able to use it around the house. However, the tape developed a crack between the 4" & 5" markers by catching on some internal part -- and is now hopelessly stuck. it does not appear I can even get a replacement via warranty.
