I am a divorced 63-year-old grandmother who lives alone and struggles to maintain my home and property. Lately I had been considering getting a shop vacuum as I have had a couple of water issues with my washing machine, to say nothing about spider webs and dirt in the garage. The Stanley shop vacuum was what I needed. The assembly was minimal requiring only attaching the four caster wheels. The unit was packaged very securely and there was no damage when it arrived. The attachments that came with the unit is what you would expect, including a garden hose adapter that was not listed in the description. Since having to use a shop vacuum is a new experience for me, I was not sure how the garden hose adapter would be used. After some research I discovered that instead of having to try and dump a full tank of water, all you need to do is attach the adapter to the tank, attach a garden hose and let the tank drain through the hose. This feature is especially important to me as I am not capable of handling a heavy tank of water. My first use of the vacuum was on the carpet in my car. The suction is extremely powerful, like what you would see at the car wash, but without the cost of constantly putting quarters in the machine. The extension wands came in extremely handy as I could reach all the way into the back of my SUV and clean where I couldn't before, and the crevice tool was able to reach into very tight places. I also had to test it out on the spider webs in the garage and the vacuum made quick work of those along with blowing leaves out of the garage. I am extremely happy with this Stanley shop vacuum, seems to be well built, has a lot of power, and should last a very long time. This is exactly what this grandmother needed!
I have had this Stanley wet/vac for about a week, and am loving it. We have had wet/vacs in the past, but none as powerful as this one. I actually have been using this in my house instead of my regular sweeper because it is so light and the hose is even long enough to allow me to do my stairs without having to pick up the base! I have mostly wood floor in my house with numerous rugs, and this thing rolls right over everything without getting caught or falling over on its side. My husband loves it out in the garage. It is very powerful and picks up everything. It does a bang up job sweeping out the car, too. We have tried using other wet/vacs, hand held dust busters, and nothing was ever powerful enough to do a good job in the car. This does it all! So excited that I don't have to go to a car wash and pay several dollars to sweep out my car. Again, so happy with this machine. It is so worth buying one that is this big and powerful. You will not regret it!
I had so much fun cleaning my garage with this product! I do a lot of DIY, woodworking, in my garage and it's always a mess from my power tools. It came fully assembled at the factory, ready for use when taken out of the carton!! First, I really appreciate all the useful, different tools that come with this wet/dry vac, and they all have a place on the vac itself to be stored! There is a 10 piece accessories kit that is included. The 4 wheels on the bottom are of great quality, and move and swivels in all directions, making it so easy to maneuver when using. Theach I first used it on my work table. It easily vacuumed up all the wood particles, so I started vacuuming under the table, on my shelves, everywhere! This vac is so well built. There are so many great uses for this vac. If you have kids that spill their drinks, you can vacuum it up in seconds! This happens almost daily with my grandchildren! It holds up to 10 gallons of liquid. I wish I had this when the bath overfilled and spilled onto the tile! To empty the liquid, there is a plug on the bottom side, you just remove the cap, and it empties easily. The cartridge filter can be used with wet or dry cleanups. You can remove the cartridge filter for cleaning easily under a faucet or with a hose. My next venture with this unit is to use it as a blower, can't wait to try that! Of course my car will be happy to get vacuumed easily and get into all the crevices. Bottom line is that this will be a great staple for your garage and home. No more taking your regular vacuum out of the house to use in the garage. Just pull out your Stanley wet/dry vac.
My husband and I both agree that this Stanley 10-gallon wet/dry vacuum is the best we have ever seen! First of all, the size alone will grab your attention and make you take notice. The unit is solidly-built and sturdy, keeping with the usual quality of Stanley products. We were so impressed with the suction power of this vacuum. It cleaned the carpet in our car so completely and thoroughly, we couldn't believe it. The 6.0 HP is amazing and it comes with a disposable filter bag, like a regular house vac, to keep the inside of the unit clean and free of dust and trash. Neither of us has ever seen a shop vac with a bag—I love that feature in this product! The unit comes with all the necessary attachments-- hose, extension wand, utility nozzle, crevice nozzle, cartridge filter, foam filter, and garden hose adapter, to tackle any cleaning job imaginable. Another awesome feature is that on the opposite of the canister, you can plug in the hose and use it as a blower! Again, something we have never seen before. What a great way to dry the inside of the unit after using it to clean-up a spill or flooding incident. I can't deny that I am excited about this product and would highly recommend it to EVERY household!
I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free Stanley 10 Gallon 6 Peak horse power Wet/dry Poly Vac to review. I have to say that this is one solid, heavy duty wet/dry vacuum. Right out of the box you can see that the quality of the Stanley wet/dry vacuum lives up to the Stanley name. The wet/dry vacuum is large, with the castors attached it stands about 24 ½” high and is at its widest point 53” around. There are 4 large castors made of plastic wheels on metal bases which are very wide and sturdy making the vacuum very stable. With the wheels being plastic it won't scratch your floors. The two side latches to keep the top on are wide and the top secures tightly. The power cord is very heavy duty and about 10' long. The wet/dry vacuum comes with a 6' hose and two 20” extenders to allow you a good reaching distance. Included is a filter for dry vacuuming and a foam filter for wet vacuuming, a crevice type attachment, a floor attachment, an attachment for general pickups, a disposable filter bag for drywall/plaster/soot particles and a garden hose adapter. With the exception of the hose extenders, all of the other attachments store nicely in the canister. The hose and adaptors are also made of heavy duty plastic and won't scratch surfaces when working. All of the attachments and hose store neatly inside the canister for storage. Changing it over from a dry vacuum to a wet vacuum takes less than 10 minutes. The 6 horsepower motor is very powerful and the suction is very strong. When pressed against your hand it sucks in your skin, so this is something to be careful with around young children and pets. Like any other higher powered suctioning tool this does make a loud sound, which is about 2 to 3 times of your average vacuum cleaner. For wet vacuuming it has an automatic shut off for when your tank gets full and a drain near the bottom of the unit that unscrews for emptying. It even has a garden hose attachment and it is capable of being a blower to blow out water, dust, etc. This is a very useful extra that can help you prep a job area, which makes the Stanley 10 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum actually 3 tools in one. We are going to be doing some remodeling soon and this is going to be a very helpful tool.
I got this for my husband's small garage/shop. He likes to build Things with wood but always manages to get the saw dust everywhere including the house. I did not know what to expect But it did a very good job. Out of the box you have to place and screw in the wheels. It had a huge fikter for the vacuum part and a foam filter to put in place of the air filter when using it for wet things. I did not use it for wet so not sure how well it worked in that part of it. But it also comes with vacuum bag. But I didn't use it. I plan on just dumping it and banging out filter. I may change my mind in that though. It comes with 2 extender pieces and several different attachments. I do feel like you Can tell it's made from cheaper plastic and kinda light weight. So if you plan on using this on a daily basis and really working it this may not be the one for you. But for maybe once a month use And for a little saw dust that we plan in using it for. I think it's going To be wonderful!!! I may even use it to clean out vehicles and rugs.
This wet vac is a 10 gallon capacity unit. It has a 6 horse power motor which is as much as the 16 gallon unit I previously owned. It has an accessory tool holder which is great because It comes with 10 pieces of accessories which are a six foot hose, (3 extra nozzles, (1) utility (2) crevice, for tight spots, and (3) floor. two extension wands, wet filter, dry filter, disposable filter bag, and a garden hose attachment. This attachment is awesome. My daughter's drain pan for her air conditioner is located in her attic, as many are. She called me and said it was clogged and full of water. I quickly thought of the Stanley wet vac and that attachment. I simply brought the wet vac in her attic, attached a garden hose to it, ran the hose to her yard, and in less than a minute was done, no trying to climb up and down attic stairs with a full container of water. That feature alone makes this wet vac a tremendous value, and for safety purposes the On Off Switch is water proof. The disposable filter bag is a great asset, as all the dust, dirt, and pet hair goes directly into the bag, which makes for easy clean up and disposal, and yes I have 2 dogs. If you are a pet owner you will know what I am talking about. Just as the suction side is very powerful, so is the blower side, which you can switch to just by moving the hose to the other side of the unit, real easy to do. There is some minor assembly, but it was so easy my 12 year old son did it. You just cannot go wrong in getting this Wet Vac. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs one.
This shop vac assembles easily and in just a couple of minutes it's ready to go! It has a powerful motor that should easily handle whatever mess you need to clean up. This comes with a 10 foot cord so that you can reach everywhere you need to without looking for an extension cord or another outlet. The swivel casters make this easy to steer wherever you need to go, and makes maneuvering this a breeze! They snap into place easily, then you screw each one on and they don't fall off! I have had so many shop vacs in the past that have overlooked this very important feature! There's nothing like having a wheel slip off just when you've suctioned up some horrible mess! The base on this unit is wide and sturdy and will prevent tipping as you pull and work with this. I think what my husband loves most about this shop vac is the garden hose adapter. We have never before seen that feature on a shop vac, and it is very well thought out and placed. This unit comes with a lot of accessories including a 6 foot hose, dust bag, filter, crevice nozzle, floor nozzle, and two extensions arms for the hose. What you should be able to reach with this means that you won't have to stand in the middle of the mess to clean it up! The handle on top of this vac makes for easy moving for storage, and the accessories can be stored with the vac so you don't have to worry about losing pieces.
Some info and my thoughts on this vac: It is not Professional Grade but it IS Industrial Grade according to their description. It comes with 4 wheels which keeps it from tipping over when full of water. It has a large number of accessories for different tasks. It comes with two different filters for wet and dry. It has good size and more powerful(6W) than the previous 4W Peak Power model It has a 10 Gallon tank which seems plenty big for large tasks The power cord is long, but I think an extension cord is advisable. It can convert to a blower so 2 jobs in 1. Love this! It comes with accessories like two extension wands, a 6 ft. hose, three nozzles(crevice, floor and 10 ft. floor nozzle), TWO cartridge filters and ONE dust bag. Think they could have sprung for a couple more bags. The suction is great, better than I thought and had from previous vacs. Easy access to tank and a large handle. Still new but so far I like it a lot. Think it will hold up to multiple uses. Assembly was a snap. Only negative is that there is a leak somewhere I can't seem to find but there is water on the floor. All in all, I like this vac and think it's a good value for the price and would recommend it to my friends.
This vacuum is great for home use! I can use it to clean the carpet inside my car and it will leave it clean. I like that I can use the different attachments it comes with to reach in the tight spaces. It performs pretty good for being a small vac. I also like the fact you can roll it any direction you want with out the wheels getting stuck. The extensions are long enough to do any job. The appearance of the vac has a nice satin black finish with yellow. I think it is a really good vac and would recommend it for personal use. I just wish it had a longer power cord. I also like the fact that I can pick up water with the vac and that it can be used as a blower. Just gotta switch the filters and you are ready to go.
