Good Luck with the Stant my check engine light stopped coming on too and it locks and fits my 2003 Dodge Neon
After repeated theft of my gas tank cap & possibly gas too, I decided to purchase a locking cap. This cap was easy to install and is easy to unlock when fueling up. This item is worth the price and peace of mind. Stant will continue to be my go-to source for replacement auto parts.

Great fit
I needed it since my car doesn't lock the gas cap, but falls apart and is a struggle everytime.
This does not fit on a 2016 Mazda CX-5. I cannot use it, so I will give it away or try to return it. Perhaps the product description explains that it does not work on Mazda cars. However, I did not notice that before I ordered it would be helpful if they made it more prominent.
Too hard to unlock, had to return it...
