What can I say? This cable does exactly what it's supposed to do.
I was hoping this would allow me to go from my old monitor to my new computer via a USB port because my computer does not have a DSUB port. It did not work. That is as much my fault as anyone's. It didn't say it would work that way in the product description. I was hoping. So now you know. Should have gone with a DSUB or DVI-D to HDMI. Not real sure what the USB thingy is for.
I think a got a defective cord. I tried it with two different monitors and its not connecting either one to my laptop. I know how to connect a 2nd monitor to my laptop so its not user error....lol! No manufacturing process is 100% so I'm just assuming this one slipped through QC.
