So much versatility with this set. The pans heat up quickly, evenly and retain heat all the way through the cooking process. The cocotte has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lid which collect and return all moisture back into dish, so nothing dries out and your flavor base stays balanced. Both pieces have Staub's famous black matte finish on the interior of the pans which creates perfect browning and searing. The pans can with stand temperatures up to 500F and can be used on any cooking surfaces, even your BBQ. This set will get you through any job in the kitchen.
This is a fantastic set of Staub. A great starter set if you want to build your cast iron collection, or if you want the quintessential pieces in your kitchen. The black enamel does a great job of searing, releasing food well, and the dutch oven is great for soups, breads, roasts. The Basil is such a great color too, very earthy and goes great with any kitchen aesthetic. Get this set, you won't regret it!
Feels solid and smooth. I like the graphite gray color. Made an omelette this morning and the omelette slid out the pan onto the plate.

I'm happy with the products themselves, but I was confused when I received the cocotte in the pomegranate color and the skillet in the graphite grey. Is this what you mean by "mixed set"--that there is a chance of the two products being of different colors? If so, it was not very clearly explained.
