it worked like it should and we discovered there were a lot of deer in that area it worked well at night . I would recommend this camera to fellow hunters.
I wasn't expecting that much when I bought this camera considering problems I had with other Stealth Cam models. My other Stealth Cams were flash models in which the flash burned out over time. The price was right so I decided to give Stealth one more shot on the infrared model. I'm glad I did! The still daytime color picture quality is ok, not super outstanding photo album quality like a $300 cuddeback but ok and more than good enough for a game cam. I would honestly rate that a 3 out of 5. What really surprised me is the night time Infra-red quality. I have a moultrie IR cam and those are supposed to be real good but the IR on this one puts the Moultrie to shame. The picture quality at night is very clear in black and white. I can see the background more than 50 feet away in IR and that is much better than the 30 feet advertised. I have to rate it a 5 for it's outstanding night quality in black and white. The trigger speed? This is one of the biggest complaints of Stealth Cameras. I thing they improved it over previous models but still doesn't come close to matching a Cudde. If you want to get a half of a deer picture with him running, the Cudde is the way to go. If you don't mind a slightly slower trigger speed that will easily show a deer slowly walking up to the bait pile in movie mode this cam is great. I give it a 3.5 on the trigger speed. The next and most important feature is the movie mode. The movie quality is fantastic in both day and night. It is very space friendly on your chip. I bought a 4 GB PNY card at Walmart and I get roughly 150 movies set at 50 seconds before the card is filled. That is outstanding for movies. The next great feature this camera has that most don't is sound to go with the movies! It was so cool watching a video clip of 2 coons fighting and hearing the sounds to go with it!! As far as battery life, I reccomend hooking up the external battery like I did. It will last much longer and you never have to worry about buying batteries. Just give it a charge every now and then. I can't rate this camera any less than a 5 overall for all the cool features it has and also the outstanding Infrared quality in both still picture and movie mode. Buy 2 of them and give a good friend or relative one for Christmas.
