My son LOVED this kitchen!! He uses it everyday. Setting up this kitchen wasn't so bad it took me 2 hours by myself but with a power tool. The fact that the oven and fridge light up Is so cute. Very worth the price.
It is a hit!! 18 mos old and 3 yr old love this kitchen and each able to enjoy it at their own level. The lights and sounds are fantastic for their pretend play and it really encourages critical thinking, fine motor skills, pretend play and social skills! The jury is out on how durable it will be-they just received it, but nothing has fallen off or broken after a week of full play. My opinion is that it is worth every penny. Walmart why cant I use apostrophes in my review. Should be able to type its (possessive) with an apostrophe and it doesnt allow any-a bit ridiculous!
The kids LOVE this toy!! They played with it for hours!!! The boys are ages 3 and 6. The girls are ages 1 and 3. It's hard to pinpoint what they love most, because there is so much to love!! The cuttable fruit with veggies and the light up refrigerator and oven are my favorites. The kids seem to like every detail! The size, the smoothie blender, the pop corn popper and the light up oven went over extremely well. Not a tablet nor television program was missed.! Now for the cons. :( It was quite challenging to put together. Once the appliances, sink, and cabinetry were put together, everything needed to be connected for safety. That was difficult for me. I wish that the set came already put together. A hand drill is a must!! All in all, it's worth all the hard work, to see their happy little busy faces, hard at play.
2 yr old grandson absolutely loves this. My son-in-law put it together and said some of the holes weren't punched which wasn't a problem with a power drill but just making you aware you may need more than a screwdriver to assemble. Very sturdy and would definitely recommend.
its amazingly stylish my daughter's love it hours of play time nice and bright... they love the accessories and the stove... the racks should have the option to nail down and the stink should have a light and sounds too... but other than that its worth the money and the children love making all types of dishes while pretending to be the best chef.. building this was easy to follow however you need a another person depending on how strong you are to nail down stuff but this is very easy just follow the directions
This kitchen is great. Very sturdy, has lots of shelves and interaction items. My three year old constantly is baking cupcakes, takes advantage of the fridge, and "doing dishes". We have gotten this for Christmas and it has been almost 5 months and I have not see any issues.
I'm so glad I went through with buying this. a little pricey but so worth it.
Just put the kitchen together. It does take time. We did it over several days but took a total of about four hours. I love the look and we purchased this kitchen because of the large size. The only negatives I would say is I wish the sink made sounds like water running and the accessories are smaller then I thought. I feel the pots and pans are small and thin plastic for a set this size and for the price. We have a smaller kitchen and the accessories are very nice and heavier plastic but the kitchen itself is great,
Overall, this is a very cool kitchen, especially the lights, sounds and animations. I have 3 negatives, and these are negatives for the Step2 company: I don't like the yellow green counters (and yes, I know that another major toy store sells the same kitchen with different colors under a different name... for $100. more). And I am disappointed that it's so shallow... if the oven was just an inch deeper, we could fit a kids round pizza pan we have into it, and other kids items like a cookie sheet...the oven door can't close on these items, even though they're touching the back of the oven. And if the cupboards were a bit deeper we could put the plates in them, (so that's why you show the 2 plates that come with it behind the sink, and there's a groove for the plates to sit in)...these are dimensions that a buyer cannot see, because they are not on display in the stores, I assume that's because they are pretty large and take up too much space in stores, but a few inches deeper, would have been better. And by the way, why aren't there 2 racks for the oven, when there are two places for a rack ? Understand, I'm NOT criticizing Walmart, I'm glad they sell it and for less, I'm merely hoping that maybe these complaints will make it back to Step2. I don't know, I love details, but these are details that are missing for me. Sincerely, Michelle
