This Straight Talk SIM Card is a powerful little device that is saving me so much money while at the same time giving me all that I had with AT&T! I feel like I've been ripped off by the all the telephone companies for far too long, thanks Wal-Mart :)

The straight talk AT&T compatible card is an amazing buy. I have a samsung galaxy so obviously im gonna want internet, $45 a month unlimited everything verses $120 its a great bargain. And it really works flawlessly. Better than att service. Took only minutes to set up.

AT&T Avail Z990 Go Phone

I have the Android AT&T Avail Z990 Go-Phone. After reading through all the postings about the good and bad of getting this AT&T Compatible Sim Card, I was extremely hesitant to try it. But I took the chance and bought it. It took about 15 minutes to activate my phone. Once that was done, I started making and receiving calls within about 10 minutes. Using the data (web, facebook, email, etc), took longer to fully activate. Within 2 hours I was able to use the data service. I setup my email account and some of my favorite websites like Google and YouTube. I had a little problem getting Facebook setup but that was because I didn't really understand that I had to first setup my cellphone number on my Facebook account (on my computer). Once I got the Facebook Mobile setup properly on my account, then I followed the instructions to send a text message from my cellphone to activate my Facebook account on my mobile phone. I know this is only my first day using it but I'm just very relieved that it worked and that I didn't have to delete the AT&T software (like some posts suggested). Setting the APN was pretty simple. However, I did run into a small problem with these settings. The Sim card comes with a brochure that gives instructions for updating the APN settings on your phone. The MMS Proxy setting listed in the brochure will not work if you have an Android version 1.6 or higher. I found this out when I called Straight Talk and spoke with one of their reps. He gave me the correct setting for the MMS Proxy and all works great now! I hope this review helps those that are wary about whether to purchase this AT&T Compatible Sim card.

Awesome with Android

Works perfect with my Samsung Galaxy NOTE. Decent on the iPhone 3GS; However, I did have to install a profile from the "unlockit" website in order to obtain data and I still cannot use MMS on the iPhone. MMS is not possible on Windows Phones without lots of rooting/unlocking/hacking. If you have Android it will work for you perfect without issue. If you have iPhone or a Windows Phone it will take some work to get going with Data and MMS may be impossible.

Overall the sim card part was easy and setup. The only issue I had was getting my Pictures messages to work. I had to download an app called Twekker to get it to change the APN setting on my phone. I have the HTC Inspire from AT&T. Other then wok good. Service could be better also.

I wish the SIM card was available to purchase in store. Would have been more convenient. I am not too technically savvy, so having some trouble getting a new APN. Will not be able to send picture texts or use the web until then. But the price is right! The monthly plan is half of what I was paying with AT&T. Changing out the SIM card was a breeze after I found out how to on You Tube! Thanks Wal-Mart and Straight Talk!

I was very hesitant about buying the sim card because I AM NOT A TECHNOLOGY PERSON so I didn't know if I should order the sim or mini sim lol. For the iPhone 3GS the mini sim is located at the top by the headphone jack. Use a paperclip to pull the cartridge tray open. I read an earlier review that suggested iPhone users should download the APN info via the website app called unlockit... So I tried following the instructions and it didn't work exactly the way described but the download was successful. I activated the sim online and my talk and text privileges worked immediately... Once the APN app was complete I had web services & email. The only thing that doesn't work is my ability to send picture messages via text. My apps all work, I have 3G service, i can upload pics to facebook & twitter through my apps (even tho pic-msg thru text does not work). All in all, I'm so satisfied with the service and the simplicity of setuping it up. :)

Decided to make the switch to straight talk....picked up my SIM card site to store. No problem there. Purchased my unlimited plan online, it took over 24 hrs for the pin # to be delivered to my email. In that time I made the trip to Walmart and purchased a plan in store. While making the phone switch online, the site kept telling me that pin # was already in use. NO, I JUST purchased it. Had to call straight talk, I must say the customer service was VERY helpful and I had no problem understanding anyone. (Other comments have remarked on not being able to understand customer service reps.) it took about 2 hrs for the switch to take place, not too bad as they do warn you it could take up to two business days. Still waiting for my MSM feature to work... Glad to be saving $$ but I hope future transactions go much smoother.

This Straight Talk Plan uses AT&T as it's provider. That works pretty well but Straight Talk doesn't have any roaming agreements so if you get to a spot w/no AT&T service your phone will drop the call. My wife is on AT&T and her calls don't drop at the same places because AT&T has roaming agreements. I still use it though because the cost is about 1/2 the cost under a AT&T contract.

I do not recommend Straight Talk. I set up an account with them for 3 months and then ordered a SIM card, and the SIM card did not work. When I would try and call Straight Talk, I could never get through to anyone. I was always put on hold. One time I did get through to someone, and they needed to pass me on to another department, but the lines were so tied up that they just hung up on me. She was in the middle of fixing my problem, so then I couldn't even log onto my account online. Finally, after a whole afternoon of being on hold, I got ahold of someone. They tried to fix the problem, but then had to send me another SIM card cause the one didn't work. The lady guaranteed this one would work. When it arrived, it didn't work. So they had to send me another one SIM card. I never did get it to work. Then, when I tried to cancel everything and get re-imbursed for the 3 months of service that I didn't get, they wouldn't give me my money back. Very displeased.
