I purchased two of these phones on black Friday for $20 each, I got them for my two kids for Christmas they are 8 and 9 and this is their first cellphones. so for the price I couldn't pass it up. This phone is really nice, it has the latest version of android, it has all the apps that a Samsung phone would have. It has the playstore, calendar, contacts ,music, photos, calculator and etc... You turn the phone on at the back and the volume buttons are located on the back also. You will need to use your fingernail to get the back off, which it takes awhile to do if you don't have long nails, well for me it did. This phone is easy to use and set up and you can put additional memory in it too.

I have had this phone a little over a week and it runs very smooth. So far, what I am the most impressed about is not in regards to the phone itself, but how easy it was to transfer my number from my previous phone, which was an LG Showtime Straight Talk phone. I was able to do it in-line at the Straight Talk site and it took about 5 minutes. I am buying a case for it. As many times as I drop phones, I have dropped this one twice already and I cannot believe that the screen is not cracked or the case is not damaged, I still believe for me a case will prove necessary. Since I have only had this for a week, I will update on how it runs, but so far I really like this phone.

This phone has features that are comparable to phones that cost several times as much. The obvious limitation is that it's not 4G, and it only has 1GB of memory and 8GB of storage. The power and volume buttons on the back are awkward at first if your coming from a phone that has them in the traditional locations. One minor complaint that I have about LG phones is that they're missing an automatic brightness feature, which is standard on the majority of good phones.

This phone has been great so far. I was worried about the screen braking. Seems great so far. I went through 4 Samsung galaxy's in a year and had it with them, I'm rough with phones. Dropped this one several times already, not issue. Was extremely easy to switch over to it with the online straight talk site. Had a Samsung Centura for 2 years. It was great but got slow. This one seems very fast. Had all my apps I'm used to, banking, shopping, etc downloaded in less then an Hour give or take. Very user friendly with the scrolling menu that works as kind of a window of your history. Takes time getting used to rear power and volume buttons. Just been great, I use it all day long for searches, email, text, Pandora running contently with Bluetooth. Good camera with flash. Maybe the Centura was just so simple, makes this seem perfect.

At first it was strange to access the power and volume buttons on the back side, but they are rather intuitive to use. I like the knock to open phone from the screen, so if it's laying down or mounted in a car holder, you don't need to pick it up to view the screen. I like the on-screen customize-able buttons. I really like the pull down one to view messages etc. Speed is quite good, better with wifi, but very usable. It runs best with about 2gb of free space. Android 5.0 limits apps full transfer to the SD card, so you can't open a lot of space on it. Some apps don't run well on SD card (Walmart, Skype) are two that disappear from the home screen if run from SD card. I have a 32gb card, holds lots of pictures and music. However you can't edit pictures or music when on the SD card. Android 5.0 blocks the save and can't write to storage, or music edits to artists etc error out. I found like a $5 case on a competing site. Scudo is the brand and it fits well and adds a padded back side. I like the phone, too bad not many others did since it's no longer offered.

Bought this phone for my wife. Didn't need to spend big money on big name phones. This phone performs as well as my iPhone (Verizon) and offers the same funtionality for the features we use. Very fast and responsive. Works off of Verizon CDMA towers. Easy on the eyes as well. Great screen size and viewing. Resolution quite nice. The phones size is perfect for my wife. Camera is great too. Front facing resolution not so high, but then again she doesn't use it. Only drawback so far, the battery. Lg should have but a larger capacity battery in it. It's battery is not horrible, but we need to have it hooked to the charger more often than not with little to no use and with no apps open and set at the phones default settings. We will be purchasing the extended life battery that we found on Amazon. Other than that, great phone.

Giving up the slider keyboard on my Optimus Q is a little daunting, but I am adjusting. My wife has had her LG Power for over a month and she loves it. So far I have been pleased with it as well. Seems like a great value for a quick 3G phone.

Nice phone...but it overheats and battery drains

I bought the LG Power to try out the Tracfone network. It is my first smartphone and was looking forward to trying it out. Having extensive use on Apple iPad and iPod, I was anxious about using an Android product, but it was easy to figure out. Phone is nice sized, wish it had a better camera but it's an $80-$100 phone. Within a couple weeks of occasional use, the battery started to drain very quickly even when not using (apps running in the background appears to be one of the culprits), and the CPU would overheat within 10-15 minutes when using 1-2 social media apps like Twitter or Facebook. I disabled or uninstalled as many apps as I could with no improvement. I bought a new battery, and the same thing happens. I like the idea of 'paying for what you use' on a prepaid network, but was not impressed with this phone for the reasons listed. It has to be charged at least daily even if you don't use it. I was really disappointed, as I've had LG phones in the past and had no issues. My advice is to stay away from the LG Power and spend the money on a better phone.

First the battery will not last as long as it is stated 4 hours tips. When I first started to us it I loved the phone. That was untill I was running out of storage.I found out there is not a make sd default storage with the 5.0 os. Screen cracked within 4 months dropped it one time. Has trouble sending messages with photos just keeps saying sending you have to keep forwarding the text to the person to get it to send. Would have sent it back but have been through that before with staight talk. Can't get a replacement until they get your phone back then they will not replace it with a new phone only remanufactured. So I won't even bother to talk to their tech not mention the fact that they sent my mast replacement phone to someone else's address and wouldn't do anything about it. Only reason I stay with straight talk is the cost of the service. Other than that I guess the phone is ok and straight talk is sub par
